vintage PIFCO BAKELITE"pocket watch" VOLT. MA, test METER radio, wireless, box The PIFCO"All-In-One" The face(including the bezel) is 62mm in diameter. With its original box(VERY rough) and some modern leads which fit the holes. The body is a nice reddish-brown mottled bakelite, which is intact! Please see photos for the back plate with instructions; some of the text has worn off but enough is left to work out the connection. I have tried this against my digital multimeter and I get these readings: 8V DC scale: DMM 6.08 Pifco 6.8. DMM 3.14 Pifco 3.6 240V DC scale: DMM 210V. Pifco 120V(needs work on this! 40 mA scale: DMM 15mA. Pifco 18mA It also has a"Valve and circuit test" This is across the back 2 contacts(I have a'C' cell in the back which seems to fit, it may not be the right voltage for the meter) ... moreshorting these contacts(or connecting them across a low resistance) gives a small reading on the scale, as there are no numbers on this scale I can't tell what it's supposed to read. The box lid is falling apart. Held together by tape, but is complete. The box base is completely in pieces. The brass bezel plating is worn/flaking a bit; the meter body is very nice and undamaged. C C P D, set of vintage test equipment including: 1) amp meter marked on b. Oakrass tag Western Electro Mechanical Co. Inc. AMPS. 35 250; Volts 4000; Cat. 550 Ser 2294 Form KNOPP; Patented; leather handle; the needle moves when I turn the amp meter but it is untested electrically; the viewing window is not cracked; the box has very nice patina with its usual dings and scuffs from being used; the dimensions of the meter are 7" by 7" by 3-1/2" tall, 2) a loop antenna with two clips(at least I think that it is an antenna of some sort) 3) a metal clamp device that is hooked to old and in very poor condition wires with deteriorating insulation(most of the wire is stuck to itself- almost like it has ... morebeen in the sun) and finally(4) the neat old box in which all of these items were stored; it has a metal tag as described; it has a divider; wood is dinged; handle is damaged; dimensions are 17" by 8" by 9" tall, one hinge has been repaired with a wire stem.
