Simpson Multi Meter Model 260 With Accordion Door LOOK~~
Up for bid is a vintage Simpson VTVM meter with an accordion door to protect it when not in use. I have checked AC. DC and ohms and all are running normally. This is a beautiful outfit with alligator clips that fit over the terminals. The two leads and clips fit down into a compartment below so this unit can be completely closed. I am not sure what model this is. It is a 260 and you can read the r est for yourself. The meter is inset in a plastic case for extra protection. Just a swell meter. Calculate 5 lbs. from zip 12850.

here we have a Simpson VOM. I am not an electronics guy so am selling it in untested condition, I put a new battery in it and the needle moves when I touch the probes together in the OHM setting. It is in very nice cosmetic condition, the leads have some burn marks so should be replaced and the foam that hold the battery in is old and not cushy like it should be, original box has wear. Up for auction is a Simpson 2-1/2" square panel meter model 137. For measuring radio frequency current 0-5 amps. It comes in an original box(not the original meter box for the meter) but an original simpson box. The panel cut out for the meter is on the bottom of the box. It has all(4) mounting nuts w/ washers and is jumpered in the shorted condition. I cannot test the meter but based on the look and shape of it, one shouldn't have any issues. As far as I can tell it has never been used but I am stating it to be used/old. The bezel is free from discoloration, scratches, nick or chips, glass and dial are clean and in great shape. Simpson 260 VOM(Volt Ohm Meter) Model 6P This instrument is NOT operating. It is in good condition. Apart from a crack in the very strong case(see pics) All components. Knobs, and switches are present and in excellent condition. The basic meter movement itself appears to be open. Very clean inside; nothing looks like it’s blown. This instrument might work fine if you have a replacement meter. In any case. If you need parts to fix your 260, this one is a good bet. Also included is a CD containing the complete Simpson 260 Operator’s manual(27 pages) with specifications. Operating instructions. Maintenance instructions, schematic diagram, and parts listing. But wait. There’s more! Also includes are two great technical books: 1001 Uses for Your Simpson 260 VOM” by the Simpson Electric Company 1953. 26 pages. and a much improved copy of“1001 Uses ... morefor Your Simpson 260 VOM” by the Simpson Electric Company 1965. 46 pages. There’s a whole mess of technical stuff in the’65 version which not many people knew then. And hardly anyone knows now.
