Here for sale is a used Hickok 209A. The leads are missing. And there are signs of wear on the chassis including some scratching and bumping. The large meter looks in very good condition and the needle moves when the machine is moved. The dials all turn, but the power button appears to have broken off. I plugged the meter into an outlet, and the Pilot Light did light up. I cannot say the tester is working condition as I do not have the leads. But will give a full refund if buyer is not satisfied.

ANTIQUE RCA Institutes Inc. VOLT OHM METER Assembly Kit ORIGINAL Bakelite Case
Up for sale, a very nice RCA Industries Inc. volt ohm meter assembly kit. AC to 300V. DC to 100V. Removed from a big power supply unit. Meter seems to be good(needle moves freely around as you rotate the meter case around) and settles back to the zero position. Resistance was read through the terminals on the back to be 1.98 Kohms(I removed the jumper wire that is in the rear view pic. While testing resistance the needle moved either to far left or far right depending which way I hooked the VOM to this meter. Guess it was reading the voltage the VOM puts through the leads to test resistance. I'm not an expert on these old meters so if any of this sounds out of whack. Don't buy it(but let me know what sounds wrong. Auction is for panel meter only. Bakelite meter case dimensions are: 4.5"W x 4.125"H. WESTERN ELECTRIC combination volt& ohm meter. Post WWII era. Heavy Bakelite casing, clean and totally intact. The interior is clean with a BELL battery in place, not corroded. The volt meter works correctly to measure house current. The ohm meter is untested due to the battery age. The knobs turn easily; the connections are clean. The wires are supple and intact; the prongs are clean and intact. The box measure 5.75" x 5.50"x4.25" approx, and weighs 1# 14 oz. The wires are 46" long with prongs. This instrument was rescued from a camp on Lake Winnepesaukee many years ago and has been used occasionally in an inside workshop.
