This unit came out of military stores and was calibrated as part of the acceptance and was kept on a metrology(calibration) cycle. According to regs, and was kept in tip top shape. Regardless of the spec label on the back. this is NOT the FM model and is NOT TRMS. The 27 is no longer in use with the US military but is still in use with some NATO countries. It earned it's reputation as a rugged meter and the ability to maintain it's high level of accuracy under less than ideal conditions. Along with the meter.
