Here is a good looking CD Yellow working Gonset 2 meter amplifier.you don't see one of these very often.about 20 years ago I converted it for use on FM by increasing the Bias on the pair of type 826 Triode Tubes that it uses.this unit has been in service until just last week as my 2 meter FM amplifier.20 watts in resulted in about 90 watts out.my transceiver went Zooy after all these years and lost its"Hi" output(20 W)only the 5W would work.so I replaced it with a newer one which has much higher output making this amp not needed.it is more of a collectors item than an On Line amp so I am selling it likely for someone's collection.you can easily reduce the Bias adjustment to put it back to AM service if desired.a 3 inch muffin fan has been added on top of the chassis to help cool the 826 tubes.the unit includes the original ... moreantenna changeover relay to bypass the amp during"receive"unit is in good working condition but is sold as is no returns.if you burn it up due to lack of knowledge as to how to Dip The Plate on a tube amp I don't want to hear about it!the window in the front makes for an interesting piece when in operation.the plates of the tubes run dull orange when transmitting(normal) and makes for a good showpiece.I used the"color" of the plates to tune the final output capacitor(front adjustment)he plate current"dip" is quite easy to see due to the change in redness of the plates.shipping weight is 29 pounds from 75090.shipping to USA only. Up for your consideration is a Palomar base amp/ 25 amp power supply combo. This unit looks like it was barely used. No scratches. Dents, etc. I powered it up with a RCI 2950 and it ran the radio and showed 260 pep on my MFJ versa tuner meter(This meter is a little conservative) I worked two stations on 10 meters and had good reports. Japanese pre-war Navy Ammeter by YEW. Yokogawa Electric Works. Model# K14618. Beautiful Wood and resin construction. Comes with original case and keys. The back plate is stamped with 3 Japanese crests. I have tried the meter and it reads. Any further testing has not been done so the meter is some as-is. The meter is in great shape considering its age. It has a few scuffs and scratches and the carrying case shows it's use. Please see the close up photo of the dial. There is a little dirt on the inside of the glass. As far as I can tell. It comes from being used in the Japanese navy in the 30's. But am not sure. Thanks for looking and good luck! Antique WESTON SHUNT Model 5 METER Voltage Amp Brass Binding Post WOOD Box VTG
Here is a very old antique Weston model 5 No. 1794 portable shunt for use with their electric meter. In VG condition, 3-1/8" X 5-5/8" and stands 2-1/4" to top of rear binding posts(turned down) tested and both shunt coils show continuity, all brass and bakelite binding posts complete and in excellent shape, wood box(looks like mahogany) in nice shape with no cracks or chips but note that the original varnish is dry and cracked. All original brass screws are here, as are the original feet.
