001 Clausing Lathe Milling Vise Attachment #7525 Atlas 12" Mk3 4800
Clausing model no. 7525 milling vise in very good condition. Ways are clean. Motion is tight, and functions as it should. Some minor milling marks on the vise, as pictured. The nut and screw appear to have about 10-15 thousands of hysteresis. Base is just under 4" OD(about 3 15/16" I obtained this with a Clausing 12" MK3a lathe but it looks like it will fit many others. Comes with cheap wrench shown(fits the angle adjustment nuts) and what appear to be the original factory V-blocks. Handle will be removed for shipping. The jaws work smoothly and effortlessly with no binding. The tilting feature is capable of a 90 degree tilt as pictured, but you will need to lube it some more to make it work more smoothly. Used heavy duty. Double 4" machinist vise and removable center block in good working condition. No maker's mark and no vise plates. Overall it measures 19" x 4"x 4" with a 4" jaw and removable center block. Overall movement without block appears to be 9 7/8"each section moves approx. 4" when center block is in place.
