Antique Garvin No. 13 Machinist Milling Vise 5" Drill Press Or Milling Machine
This is an old Garvin milling vise. All of the Garvin stuff is getting pretty hard to find since they didn't produce a lot to begin with. This one was probably built right around 1900 or so. It's in pretty decent shape for it's age. It operated very smoothly as it should. It has 5" jaws and it comes with it's original handle. It measures 12" X 9" on the base. It has a couple of stray drill marks on the inside. The replaceable jaws are slotted. And it appears that they were milled that way to perform a specific production task. these jaws are replaceable, and any competent machinist could fab up a new pair pretty easily if he wanted to. Vintage Unimat SL Lathe With Power Feed, Milling Table, Vise +++
This is one of two Unimat lathes I had. This one was used as a lathe only since I have owned it, over thirty years. The machine is set up for the power feed, the power feed pully and hand wheel are removed and placed in the box with the lathe. The lathe will not fit in the box with the pully and hand wheel installed. The machine comes with every thing you see in the pictures the only thing I can't find is the adaptor plate for the three jaw chuck, you will have to buy a new one. The adaptor plates are sold on ebay and run around twenty dollars. The machine is in used condition I made parts on it for my slot cars for many years. The lathe has not been used for about five years so it should be cleaned and oiled before use. I purchased a seperate mill and a more heavy duty lathe that is the reason for the sale.
