The idea is to use low grade bolts that are softer than the steel on your grinder so that the bolts wear before the bosses on the grinder wear. Once the bolts wear you just replace them. The knobs are roughly 1/4" thick& 2" wide at the widest point. They capture a standard 1/4-20 hex head bolt. Any length. A 1/4-20 nyloc nut is used to secure the bolt(see pictures) these never come loose. Use shorter bolts when used to clamp tooling arms, longer bolts when using these on your tracking wheel adjuster. We finish these in black paint so that you can easily re-coat them when they get scratchy. PLEASE NOTE THAT WITH THIS LISTING YOU WILL RECEIVE ONLY THE 3 BLACK KNOBS IN THE FIRST PICTURE. And Drive Belt which would have come with one of these sanders; back in the early'70's. The belt guard came in two parts. There's a front cast section. And a rear sheet metal section. Both pieces are in Very Good Used Condition! The original Pulleys which would have come with this sander are included here. The#5250(2- 1/2" goes on the motor. The one shown has a 1/2" arbor. But I also have one with a 5/8" arbor. Which I could substitute; if your motor has a 5/8" shaft. Just ask. And I'll make that change. The other pulley shown. Is the#5200(2" pulley. 2005 Hardo German Shoe Boot Repair Cobbler Machine Belt Sander Leather Grinder
Next for sale from the back room of my shop is a 2005 German Hardo Brand scoring machine with two 4 x 59 inch belts. Heel breaster and naumkeg. I aquired this machine a couple of years ago. When I bought out an orthopedic laboratory at the regional VA hospital in North Texas. The VA bought enough machines, tools and materials to start up a first class orthopedic and prosthetic laboratory, but didn't know what to do with it. Those hopes were soon abandoned, pushed into the back of the building and forgotten. I would bet that this machine has less than 50 hours on it. One wheel was still tied up from shipping and had never be utilized. It was so far out of adjustment. I would be surprised if they really ever used it. I brought it into my shop, adjusted it until it was tracking and working perfectly when my newest machine arrived. I like ... moremy new machine better and this Hardo, got pushed into the back room again. This modern shoe machine cabinet measures just 25 inches wide and 31 inches deep and 60 inches tall. This is a single phase. 230 volt at 50 hz. The paint is good. The wheels are true and the bags are clean. Pictured is the dust collection drawer, that locks down tight behind the lower front panel. It comes with the original plug and receptacle, but a dryer plug could be added to fit a conventional American 30A outlet. Koval Pro Cut II Knife Maker 2x72 Belt Grinder Knifemaker
Up for auction is my Koval Knives Pro Cut II 2x72" Grinder Buffer. I bought this at Koval when they were still in business and have used it for many years. These were a proprietary machine made specifically for Koval. It features an 8" serrated contact wheel on a 3/4" arbor with a pulley drive. The unit has a spring loaded quick change belt. A tool platen AND the super rare small wheel attachment feature. By removing the tool platen you can easily switch to a variety of small wheel for grinding finger grooves, etc. There is no small wheel included in this auction but I seem to remember it used either Wilton or Bader wheels in all sizes. The machine used to have a flat platen but I removed it and lost it years ago. Because of where it sat I found the flat platen cumbersome. The way it is designed you can easily fabricate another ... moreusing angle iron. Condition: The unit has been used off and on since 1991 and the only reason why I am selling is because I have a KMG grinder and am adding the contact wheel for that unit. The bearings are in great shape. Turns and runs freely and freshly lubed. The idler tracks very nicely and other than a few use related scratches it's good to go. The 8" contact wheel has been radiused on the sides and has a few blurbs but still works great for hollow grinding. Eventually you can switch to another wheel.it's 3/4" arbor, non-bearing aluminum wheel so the cost would be about $75 or less. I will include plates for the buffer attachment as well but in order to use them you will have to switch to a bit smaller arbor key on the pulley end. I ran this for years on a 110v 1725rpm 1hp motor and it powered it wonderfully. 1.5hp would be even better. There is a little but easy trick to switching to the small wheel attachment that I can advise the buyer. Shipping would be via FedEx to the lower 48 states only. Please note if the buyer pays immediately I can ship the next day. If not I will have to wait until July 1 to Fedex the grinder. Local pickup is also allowed.

Comes with all the original parts.it is rare to find these with both work pedestals and both wheel guards in place.those were aftermarket accessories from Dleta so you don't always see them. Comes with an internet copy of the original 1952 owners manual! Overall vintage-excellent condition with some normal handling wear and minor paint loss. The Homecraft badge is intact in the front. I have not seen a nicer example of this model(I am a huge Homecraft collector! and you never see these in complete ... morecondtion like this. The belt is in place so all you have to do is put some oil in the oil ports. And hook it up to the electric motor of your choice. An electric motor that is 1/4 or 1/3 HP will work great. I have several of these and use them all the time! It is a nice arbor to use at lower speeds for finer worlk.you can replace the wheels with wire wheels and do fine cleaning of your parts or metal antiques. My price is a little higher than similar ones I have seen. But this one is in better condition and with all the accessories. Pay a little more and have the best example you can use in your classic shop the rest of your life.these were built to last forever if you don't abuse them. There is a tremendous following of the Homecraft belt-drive tools because of the incredible craftsmanship. Tight tolerances, and durability. And of course made in usa!
