Stainless Steel Sheets and Steel Rods from old Guitar Side Bending Machine
I made a guitar side bending machine from inexpensive parts back in the late 1980's. Used it successfully for one project, then put it away and didn't use it again. I'm selling the stainless steel sheets and nine of the plain steel rods that went with it. If I can find more of the rods then they'll be included in the sale. But I'll probably never find any. The stainless sheets are 6" wide by about 40" long. They were ordered from McMaster-Carr in the late 1980's to match the specs I had for the bending machine. I have no idea what SS alloy is used. But it seems to have held up well, and the sheets are free from corrosion. My cheap calipers say the sheets are about 0.025" 0.8mm thick. Each sheet is folded and riveted to hold a steel wire on one end. The actual side bending machine is not included unless ... moreyou pick up the parts locally(in the SF East Bay Area) I could ship the whole thing. I guess, but it will cost a bundle; I'll try to come up with an estimate for shipping if anyone's interested. The actual bending machine is rusty and crusty- and isn't something you will be proud to show all your friends- and it will need some work and more parts before it's useable. The forms. The lighting sockets, and possibly some of the steel rods are missing. If you want the Parcel Post shipping option and if the cost for Priority Mail shipping is less than $.50 more than my cost for Parcel Post. Then I'll ship by PM.
