The horn is marked L"Low Pitch" in great shape with the original, mother of pearl' rollers.All are free and rolling.The horn is"SUPER" straight. The silver plating is about 99% with wear on the octave key but, none on the rest of the horn.the inside of the bell is gold plated sowing flea bites from a stand use in its past. Beautifully engraved in the'Push and wiggle cut' style that is not being duplicated by modern engravers. This is a beautiful Soprano. The horn does not play and has pads missing so it will need a full job to be in playing condition. There does not seam to have been any work done to it in the past with what looks like a beautiful patina to the silver on the ... morebody and keys. Only high grade plated material. No cheap connector pins/ semi plated scrap. The plating looks average to thick for this mix. No excess metal or plastic in the mix. Non working condition. This lot is sold for scrap only. These parts don't work. Only sold for precious metal recovery. They do contain a decent amount of gold and possibly silver& palladium. It has a unique front cover treatment that is quite attractive, The clicker is controlled by a slide button on the rear plate, while drag is controlled by a slide button on the front cover. The top of the foot is marked"HENDRYX" on one side and on the other side"PAT. MAR. 21, 1876, PAT. JULY 10, 1888" This reel is constructed of nickel plated brass, with hard rubber being used for the handle knob. The plating is in good condition with some minor surface scratching and some brass showing on two pillars(see photos) It is in very good working condition, both the clicker and drag are working. Up for bid is one Vintage Nickel Plated Brass Multiplier Casting Reel with Ball Handle. Threaded Bearing Cap, and 2:1 geared multiplier. I'm not sure how to classify this reel, based on the size of the foot I would guess it would have been used for salt water fishing or perhaps large fresh water species. There is no Clicker or Drag. The front cover is marked" ONION. HAIGH& CORNWALL, NEW YORK" This reel is constructed of nickel plated brass. Almost all the plating has worn off. It is in good working condition. The handle has a wood knob in good condition. The foot appears to be machined from one piece of brass. The foot has been filed at both ends(see photos) On the bottom of the foot it is engraved with"2" This is a nice looking and nice working reel. The bearing cap is threaded. They were in business selling guns and moved into fishing tackle as well. I recently listed a reel with near identical features as this one that was marked F. VOM HOFE& SON. The threaded bearing cap and rear plate treatment. Foot design, handle details, etc. look very much like they could have been made by the same company, problem is, there are other manufactures of the era that also used similar designs and could have produced this reel, so the manufacturer cannot be identified from what I know. One identifier I saw mentioned was an indexing slash mark at the bottom of the front cover that would span the cover and plate that F. Vom Hofe& Son added on reels they manufactured. This reel has no such mark. It measures 2-11/16" diameter. 4-9/16" deep including the handle, pillars are about 1-13/16" long, and has a foot measuring 3-1/8" long by 3/4" wide(both ends have been filed, which could have shortened the length) The foot is marked on the bottom with"2" see photo) It weighs 13.8 ounces, with packaging it will ship b

Suraya 5 1/2 X 14" Parawood Segment shell snare, gold-plated HW, 10-lug
Suraya 5 1/2" X 14" Parawood segment shell(3/8" Snare Drum. Gold-plated die-cast hoops, throw and lugs(10) 20-strand snare wires. This is the only Parawood snare I have ever seen on Ebay; I do like exotic woods and the diversity of sounds they produce. Cool sort of petrogliph-looking logo on the shell(see pic) This drum was made by Glen Paquette(probably around the late 1980's at the time when he, Joe Montineri and Chris Brady were pushing the envelope on drum building) a well-known and talented drum craftsman. I have several drums in my collection from each of these builders/craftsman and have truly prize them all. I bought two of these drums(see my other Ebay listing for a Suraya Bubinga segment) and have used them extensively. So why am I selling? I'm now collecting some rather rare and expensive drums for my collection(e.g. ... more1920's Slingerland Black Beauty, Ludwig engraved gold Triumphal) and promised my wife I would sell off some of my collection in turn. Such is the price of marriage. I still think I got a good deal: I've loved this snare for over 10 years but it's time for someone else to enjoy. The price is less than I paid so I hope you agree that it is quite reasonable. I'm letting more drums go over the next couple of weeks, some"players" and some"collectibles" but all wonderful drums.keep looking for my auctions. Condition: Shell is excellent; a number of scuffs on the hardware from use but not abuse; one lug has replacement screws. I have included the original well-worn head(Remo coated Ambassador. Says"Zub Bonham series" and the head I was using most recently, an Aquarian Hi-energy reverse white dot coated head. Sound: This drum has a really nice ring/overtone which I found was very evenly distributed when using the coated Ambassador. But the Aquarian reverse dot fattened up the middle/center but allowed me to enhance some of the ring when hitting toward the edge or rimshots. A great sounding drum; pretty versatile.
