Vintage Champion Products Co. Handle Telescoping Fishing Rod Copper Brass Nice!
Here is a Champion Products Co. Muskegon. Michigan handle rod. This rod is in nice condition with little wear seen on the cork handle. The rod does have one eye that comes loose and will need to be soldered again. The rod extends to approximately 58" and can almost fully collapse, however, I cannot get the last section with the rod tip to collapse into the other sections. The rod sections are made of copper so they will not rust and the eyelets are brass. This rod is being sold‘as is’ due to the one eye coming loose. This is a telescoping Beryllium/Copper fishing rod which was found recently at a local estate sale in it's original plastic pouch with the original tag with instructions for expanding the rod. It is called a Handle-Rod and was made by the Champion Products Company of Muskegan Heights. Michigan. It is in great condition and I can't prove it has never been used, but I saw no signs of use at all. There is one shallow dent in the cork handle which I have pictured. Vintage Rooster Aluminum Weathervane Copper Base Brass Rod Rooftop Barn 38" Tall
You are bidding on a vintage rooster weathervane. It is approximately 60 years old or slightly older. It was attached on the top of a roof and was taken down and stored when the new owner of the property rebuilt there. It comes apart and if you look at the pictures you can see how it goes together. The base is made of copper with is painted black. The copper is placed over a wood base. The paint has flaked in several places. The base measures approximately 17 inches on each of the 4 sides. The rod that holds the weathervane looks like it is made of brass but I'm not sure. The directional N-S-E-W sits on this rod and there are large screws that tighten it onto the rod. The S mark was repaired at one time as you can see from the picture. The rooster and arrow sit on top of the directional N-S-E-W and will spin freely on the rod. I believe ... morethe rooster. Arrow and directions are all made of aluminum. This piece looks to have been painted a black with red markings. I am leaving it the way it was found and you may choose to repaint it to your liking. I do not see any type of markings on this piece as to who the manufacturer may have been. The whole weathervane assembled measures 38 inches tall. From the bottom of the directional N-S-E-W to the top of the rooster it measures 20 inches tall. The distance across from the front of the arrow to the back measures 24 inches long. Up for auction is a vintage sea water trolling rod that is made from wood and was made in England(United Kingdom) as stamped on the brass end piece. The rod measures 37 inches in length. And is 1 inch in diameter at the base then narrowing down to 1/2 inch near the end of the rod. The reel is held in place with two brass rings, and the reel is full of copper wire line. The reel is 5 1/2 inches in diameter, and has a 1 inch channel for the line to collect. It looks like there were two wooden turn nobs, but one has been broken off. The item is in good condition for it's age as there is only normal wear and no other major issues then previously mention. This twisted rod is stamped“ CBFR” It is copper wrapped and has 2 places where the rod has started to corrode through. SEE PICTURES. The point has a chrome coating that has mostly weathered off over the years. Nothing on the point is magnetic making it all brass or bronze. One porcelain insulator is cracked and the other has a chip. SEE PICTURE. The feet are bent to fit the pitch of the barn they came off of. They will need bent to your roof pitch. The iron stand is pitted from years on the roof. They may need straightened to suit you display desires. The directionals have heavy oxidation which gives a great green/blue hue over the original brass. Original wrought iron lightning rod and copper ball. These too have significant oxidation due to age. Newer(most likely mid 20th century) set screws were fastened into the directional. We did attempt to remove these in order for easier shipping but they are locked/rusted in place. Antique Copper Puffed Bull Cow Weathervane Directional Finial Lightning Rod
Up for auction is my beloved puffed bull cow weather vane. I planned to keep this forever. But recent medical bills make this auction necessary. I bought this from a local years ago they had a vast collection of weather vanes from back east from a dairy farm. The rod, directional, and vane are included in the auction as well as a custom weighted stand used for display on my mantle. The vane is made of copper with lead soldering. The bull cow is 31" long overall and 21.5" tall. with the balls and directional it is 34" tall and with the stand is 56" tall.

Up for your consideration today is this Small pair of copper coated mild steel L-Rod dowsing rods 6" with copper sleeve. The handles of this pair of rods are 2.5 inches long as are the copper sleeves that allow the rods to swing freely while being held. The L's are 6-inches long and are copper coated mild steel.
