Nice lot of two copper vintage Bristol telescoping poles. One is about and inch longer then the other but they are the same besides that. They are about 38 inches long and extend to a little over 8 feet. I cleaned a spot on one with copper leaner to show how nice they clean up as seen in pic#4. They both fully extend but one is hard to extend and needs cleaning and maybe oiling to make it extend smoothly. The cork handles are nice and sound. Please see pictures for details. Super RARE MELTZER Lightning Rod & Copper 5 Wire Tip Farm Hardware 1 MORE CHANCE
Here we have for sale a SUPER RARE lightning rod. Brace and point. I've decided to sell one more of these RARE pieces. If you're a serious lightning rod collector, you better get in on one of these. First of all, lets point out one fact, this is 100% old original. I picked up 4 of these in Indiana back in November. I've already sold 2. I've known about these for several years and finally after much negotiation. I was able to purchase these. These came fairly close to where the company was originaly at, Rays Crossing, Indiana. If you doubt these type of tips are real, I have pictures of these up on a house and a barn. Not much is known about this small business. These are the first I've ever seen up close as in being able to handle one. The stand is unique and the tips are unique as well. Ok, here's some details. The ... morestand is 35" tall, made of three 3/4" wide strips of steel riveted together. The rod holders are strips of brass or copper sandwiched between the strips of steel. The legs are twisted by hand, as each leg is different. Some spiral left and some right. The rod is a 5/8" copper welded seam tube. Nothing special about that. Now the tip is most unusual! It is a slip on type that is pressed flat towards the top. There looks to be a piece that has 5- 6" copper wires inserted into it then soldered. This piece is then inserted into said flattened tip and soldered. Very unsual and time consuming to make a tip like this in it's day. As you can see the tip of one tine is blunt. Not sure if it was made that way or broke? I can't find any name or markings on any of the items. However these are unique pieces and can only be attributed to one company, Meltzer. As for damage, I believe the bottom of the tube is missing a portion, it is pinched and maybe the foot clamp part is whats missing. From what I've seen on the roof, looks to be a flat foot clamp of some sort. The patina is not the brightest but it has patina. Remember these were stored for 17 years that I

This is a large new solid copper weathervane. It is very large. Just the star part alone is 34in long(the arrow) and 27 inches tall. Add the pole. Decrotive balls and direction it gets even taller over 40 inches! This is beleived to be made by Weathervanes of Maine a couple decades ago. It has always been in a box and never used outside. It has only been displayed indoors a short time. The star, directionals, and balls are all solid heavy copper with a painted on patina. Some small and minor areas you can see the bright copper through the paint. The rod and stand are solid iron. The pole that holds the weather vane is easily expandable to with another rod to make it even taller. This weathervane is compatiable with almost any weathervane stand. Using only one rod is possible, though not as effective. As with a pendulum. Dowsing rods can also be used to answer yes or no questions, but test to make sure which is which. Ask"Show me Yes" and the rods should point in one way(mine tend to cross over each other, forming an X) Do the same for"Show me No" This test is also good to perform before searching for objects, to make sure ... morethe dowsing rods are responding to you. Antique Copper Barn Lightning Rod Arrow Spear Point Cable Connector Farm Decor
These are some lightning rod parts that I took off the barn that we tore down this past fall.The farm was est. in 1872. Not sure when the barn was erected.The last picture shows the arrow sticking in the shingle after the barn went down, and that is why it has a little bend on the tip.Cone has little bend as well.The other part is for connecting the copper ground wire, that I removed.Cool pic, I thought. Kinda blurry tho.Hope someone has use for these.I got these after the barn was pushed in.

This is a set of 6- 18 inch copper lightning rods with bases and cable clamps. Cable clamp bolt is stainless steel. Base looks to be copper also. They look to be new and unused but do have some discoloration and dirt on them. They were found in an old barn that I cleaned out. along with a spool of braided copper cable) I am not cleaning them up so as to not damage them or their value. Selling rods and bases only.
