You are bidding on one Stanley Number 71 wood router plane as pictured. It is marked"STANLEY No 71 PATENTED OCT 29. 01" on the top side of the body, B" on the underside of the"arch" and also"B" on the collar. Included with it is one 1/2" wide(nominal size) iron as shown. Which has the notch that goes about one half of the way around the top for the adjuster. All I have is what is shown. The iron has been sharpened quite a bit. And polished, and also ground down on the sides so that it is now about 7/16" in width. Condition is generally good. The knobs have a variety of minor dings and scratches. The body has patina and light rust. With a few areas of pitting including on the base. The router would benefit from a light cleaning. VINTAGE 1900's CAST IRON COIN DEPOSIT SAFE BANK You are bidding on a silver colored cast iron safe shaped bank manufactured by Grey Iron Casting Company. Mount Joy, Pennsylvania. Approx size: 4" h x 3" w x 2 3/8" d. Most likely manufactured in early 1900's. Sides and back have a leaf and grape motif. Coin slot on top with decorative slide that lifts so you can place coin in slot. Has safe like door in front with inscription COIN DEPOSIT BANK in fancy letters. In center is knob which surrounds numbered circle which used combination in order for door to open. Bottom has the inscription PAT(probably for patent) and PDG(probably for pending) Grey Iron Casting was in business in Mount Joy. Pennsylvania. From 1881to1969. Bank is heavy weighing almost 2 lbs. About the door and condition. Bank was closed when I got it and I ... morecouldn't open the door because I didn't know the combination and the center circle with the numbers spun. Taking it out of a storage box it fell on the table and opened! I used silicone spray on the mechanism and it loosened the slider and I retracted it so I will leave it like that. Door comes off but easily goes back on. There are no hinges but holes and bent rods which secures the door like hinges. Door will close and stay shut and then can open again because the slider is retracted. Left side panel is slightly askew but overall bank is in very good condition and intact. No rust and still retains most of its color except for some darkening because of age and handling. See pictures. This is the actual item for sale. This is really a stout and well done piece.weighing in at about 14 pounds standing about 15 inches tall. I wish that I knew more about the item.as it is really neat. My first guess would be a door stop.possibly a bookend.or maybe a candle holder. It reminds me a lot of a Fire Dog or a Hearth decoration. The metal looks like it has been covered in antique gold at one time or another.and it seems to have a dark blue crackled paint here and there. This is what I believe to be a Rare cast iron mechanical bank. Bank is good size being 8" wide and 7" tall. I'm not sure of the age of this bank because I can't find any information on it or examples of it. Bank works just fine. A coin is placed in the coin slot, push the green lever and the coin rides up and is dumped into the chimney, then slides down and out over the casting pan and is deposited into the base of the bank. These were detailed exact to scale versions of the full size stoves made by this company and were given to salesmen to show potential customers. Subsequently these became popular among toy collectors. This old stove is in very good condition. It appears a younger person made some marks on it with chalk.
