Produced in Sweden and dating to the 1960's. The Reel pictured is ABU-GARCIA model 2600, level winding Casting Reel. The Reel features red anodized aluminum side plates. Mottled yellow spacers and black anodized spool. The Reel is in very good condition. With minor blemishes, rough areas around the rim of the right side plate. Avet raptor blue mxj 2 speed machined aluminum saltwater casting reel USA
Up for auction is a used Avet Raptor mxj in very good condition. I purchased this reel several months ago and didn't get much use out of it due to its small size in contrast to the heavier jigs I was fishing with. All reels in the raptor series pack serious drag capabilities. With features like 2 speeds for hi speed and low powerful cranking capabilities. It also comes equipped with the magic cast feature. This system actually works pretty good in my opinion. This reel has minimal signs of use. There are very slight markings on the reels foot where it contacted the reel seat. There is also evidence of the lever being engaged from free spool to strike by way of small markings on the chrome lever guide. This by all means is normal as the spring loaded bearing glides across the small holes in the chrome. There is also a very fine line near ... morethe freespool lever. This is not very noticable even in the pics. I just want to be up front on this incredible fishing investment. I have stripped the line off to show that the finish on the spool is in good condition. I did place a thin coat of quality wax on the spool before replacing the spectra fishing line. this will inhibit corrosion) I filled the reel with quality 65lb white Toro Tamer line about 3/4 full. I then stacked 65lb blue Magibraid spectra the rest of the way. I did leave room for a mono top shot and filled that with 50lb. Ande backcountry blue. The spectra is packed on tightly to avoid line dig in when the hook ups are hard and heavy. I will include a reel cover although it is not pictured. Box and manufactures schematics cd/lube are included. Gear ratios are 6:1& 4:1 Weight is 20 oz. Line capacity is 250yds of 30lb. 18lb of drag pressure on strike, with 28 lb max with free spool. This is a very nice example of the inside working of a pyramid ant mound. It has a nice balanced look to it with 2 main chambers and 2 smaller tube type chambers. Everyone who sees this will be amazed by the chambers and tunnels and will be wondering what this strange object is. The casting will look great anywhere you place it. It's painted a silver chrome to really bring out the details. It looks amazing and would make a great one of a kind gift. This unique casting has a cast on base that is attached to a 1.5" cypress plinth with counter sunk screws with painted heads to blend them in. The bottom of the mount has felt pads to protect any surface you decide to put this on. I create these out of recycled aluminum. Telescope 6" Mirror Cell and Primary Mirror-High Quality Aluminum Casting-1940!
This is a high-quality cast aluminum telescope mirror cell and 6" primary mirror. These parts were built into an amateur telescope which was constructed in 1940. The focal length. Date and builder's initials are scratched into the reverse side of the mirror. The mirror was recoated(Beral-Coating by PA Clausing) about 20 years ago, but was never used.just stored in its cotton packaging. The mirror grind-quality is unknown.
