The top had rust in some areas from setting for years, we removed the rust with a wire wheel and oiled ... morethe whole plate. The surface is discolored in areas from the rust, but it is in good condition and smooth to the touch. The plate is 1-11/16" thick and is welded to a frame made of 6 inch channel iron. There is one channel around the perimeter and one across the center. The plates welded to the bottom corners of the channel iron are 5x5x3/4". The this weldment has been Blanchard ground and most of the grind marks are still visible. There are some dings and nicks in the surface from use but nothing major. This plate has some holes as seen in the pictures.

Old silver plated wine bottle coaster with repousse grape vine motif & wood base
Up for sale is an old silver plated wine bottle coaster with a raised relief. Or repousse design featuring grape vines. The piece has a removable wooden base, held in by pins, as shown in pic 8, making it easier to clean. It has been made out of one piece of flat metal and joined with a seam. Overall the coaster is in fair condition with some wear showing, particularly on the inside, and the plain metal bottom rim. The plating on the outside looks intact, but could use a detailed cleaning if you prefer more shine. There are some cracks and scratches on the bottom rim, and the wood appears to have had felt glued to the underside at one point, as there is residual glue inside, and the wood has been revarnished. I added new furniture protectors, but they can easily be removed. I could not find a maker’s mark on this coaster, but it came from ... morea family member who lived in the UK. Here we have a good antique Victorian wine coaster. There are no makers marks as such but there is an inscription in ink to the base. The piece was recently bought from a renowned auctioneer and catalogued as Victorian. Having handled several in the pass I can say that it is definitely from the 19th century and is clearly silver plated as there are a few signs of wear as you would expect with a functional Victorian piece. It has an oak base and the original green velvet to the bottom. Where these used to be slid across the table. They had these to protect the table from damage. The base diameter is just over 13 cms and it stands 6 cms in height. It weighs 211 grammes. There are no dings etc. Just the aforementioned light wear to the plate and the piece has been sympathetically and professionally cleaned by my Mother, a retired Antique Restorer ... moreand Jeweller. This lovely vase measures 10"H x 2 7/8"D across the bottom x 2"D across the top rim and does NOT have any makers mark that I can find nor whether it is sterling silver or silver plated. But. It does look like it could be an"unmarked" Duchin vase as that company has made an etched 10" bud vase with the exact motif around the bottom and it was marked Duchin Sterling Silver. This beautiful bud vase is in very good condition without any chips, cracks, fleabites or repairs. Underneath the weighted bottom, there is an oval spot where a sticker could have been attached. Its vintage probably from the 1960's It was used as you can see. base is made of silver plate. there is a plaque on the back of the base that says silver plated. I tried to take a picture but it doesn't show up. heavily tarnished. Lots of patina. I didn't try to clean it as some people like to keep it that way. If you don't, then it should polish up nicely. there is a lot of pitting on the top where the cigar would have rested also some oxidation inside where the insert would rest. Up for Auction is an Old Antique Coleman Lantern from 6-25-1929. This is the Desired Double Mantle Type Lantern Lamp with the Nickel Plate Base. The Base has some very little surface rust. All the Base Lettering is all Clean and Clear. The Top Portion has more rust as shown in the pictures. The Fuel Can Portion of the Base has been full of fuel all this time, keeping it very clean inside too. The fuel inside will be emptied prior to shipping. The Lamp is in as found condition, but looks to be in restorable condition, the black on the fuel tank is just paint. See Pictures.
