The tablets are approximately 71 years old and long since inert. The listing is being offered for the rare packaging. Sulfa Wound Tablets were critical for helping to arrest infection when a GI. Marine or Airman was wounded. Up for bid is a Howard Miller 612-429 Samuel Watson key wound triple chime mantel clock. The case is finished in mahogany. It has solid hinge and clasp mechanisms that close tightly and the glass is not loose in any way. The front glass door has a magnetic latch and the back door is completely removable for ease of access to the mechanism. The movement is a quality German Hermle floating balance type eliminating the need for the clock to be level to operate. This clock sells new for $840.00.The glass has no fading or cracking and the dial is in excellent shape. The dial has ornate insets at each corner. Along with brass numerals and an ornate dial design. Overall, it is a beautiful clock. It sounds harmoniously on 8 chiming rods in Westminster, Whittington or a St. Michaels style and also has a shutoff feature.
