This is a number 5 two quart Enterprise Sausage Stuffer and Lard press. This is a very old press and it has no spout or nut or large plate. It does have the small plate and the bottom plate and the screen. This has been cleaned and painted and is in very good shape. I think the number 5 was the first two quart made by Enterprise and it is different than the later ones. The handle has some nicks in it as shown. This is marked Pat July 11. 1876. One fits tight against the side walls and the other one has probably an 1/8" space all the way around. It comes with the nut(the nut may need a gasket or something I don't know) and spout but the spout is in poor condition. Everything moves freely, cranks up and down good, swings/turns out good. Antique ENTERPRISE MFG. No.35 Sausage Stuffer Patented APRIL 10. 1888, and JULY 11, 1876. This piece is in absolutely beautiful condition. There is a little chipped paint and rust around one of the feet and a couple scratches. The lady I bought this from said this came out of her grandfathers general store and has been in her basement sense they closed the store and that it was in all original condition. Except she did say that her husband cleaned the rust off of the small plate. Everything works nice and smooth, the handle has no damage. The only thing I did to it is wipe the dust off.
