The opposite side has a threaded shaft which would be inserted into a meat grinder machine. This is a very old piece of early machinery. On the actual solid metal turn arm are the following words in raised lettering: L.F&C. NEW BRITAIN.CONN.U.S.A. On the opposite side of the solid metal turn arm are dates and numbers that are in a raised form along the handle. These dates that are detailed go as far back as 1897-1900. This is a very old. Marked, molded in the metal, No. 5 KEYSTONE" Made in U.S.A. C.I. Co. Boyertown, PA" meat grinder. It is all metal construction except for the handle which is wood. It does turn freely and is in good overall condition. It comes completely apart for cleaning and the only areas of rust are some occasional rust spots on the body of the grinder, some darkening of the crank handle, Overall rusting on the clamp screw, some minor rust to the grinder plate& on the thumb screws that hold the handle and grinder plate intact. See photos to see this rust. It only has one grinder plate with it. It measures from top of hopper to bottom of clamp screw 9" long.
