There are 17 drawers in this cabinet and each drawer has a hard plastic insert tray that has slots for index tabs that identify and hold 250 crystals. Attractive storage box. Professionally crafted, with dovetailed drawers and gray felt interiors. It is simple and utilitarian, yet attractive. The dimensions of the cabinet are 16 3/8 inches wide, 11 3/4 inches deep, and 8 1/2 inches high. The drawers are 11 1/2 inches long. And 7 inches across. Each drawer is 1 1/2 inches deep inside. The front of the case and drawers are solid oak. The outside of the box is veneer, as this is casework, constructed of finish grade plywood. The sides and backs of the drawers are solid wood. Under the felt interior of the drawers are triangular pieces of wood to create divisions. All of the surfaces are nicely varnished. You can see from photos it is great for fountain pens or jewelry, such as rings, bracelets or necklaces. I believe it was originally for spools of sewing thread. Tomlinson Antique Buffet Sideboard 1900-1934 Storage Cabinets Drawers Nice
I have this antique buffet made by Tomlinson Chair Manufacturing. I know this set is made before 1934, because in 1934 the Tomlinson Chair name was changed to Tomlinson of High Point. The matching table had the original tag on the bottom side of it, which is in the picture, however, the table is not for sale, this is for the buffet only. I am thinking its all Oak. But not sure, could be some other type of nice wood. I am not an antique dealer or anything, just loved the style of it, I bought from a friend who had inherited it from her grandma. The buffet is in great condition. Has always been covered with the thick glass you see in the picture so the top of it is in really good condition. It has room for 3 shelves in the top portion. Three drawers on the left side, and a storage cabinet on the right side. Although in great shape for its age; it has a small bend(or twist) on one of the columns. I have taken several pictures of it. It is just cosmetic, and could be straightened. I am not sure what brand this is;as it doesn't seem to have the same markings on the handles as our Blickman, and I cannot find any other name on the back or side. The briquettes were a small rectangular size that would fit nicely into the top of this briquette storage box and drop to the bottom– whereby you would open one of the four drawers at the bottom and a perfect briquette would slide out for use. Beautiful mid 1900s pine electronic parts storage box. Holds 6 solid wood drawers divided into 4 sections each. The 5 smaller drawers measure 6" wide x 5 1/2" deep x 1" tall— inside spaces are 1 1/4" wide x 5 1/8" deep x 7/8" tall. The larger drawer is 6" wide x 5 1/2" deep x 1 5/8" tall— inside spaces are 1 1/4" x 5 1/8" deep x 1 1/2" tall(2) and the larger one is 2 3/4" wide. The cabinet measures 6 3/4" wide x 5 5/8" deep x 8 3/4" tall. Cabinet was assembled from 3/8" thick pine and fingerjoined for strength. Gold foil label is clear and bright— reads"WIRT RESISTORS PHILADELPHIA" Original finish was restored with several coats of MinWax Satin Varnish and hand-polished with 0000 steel wool and paste-wax to a soft luster.
