A heavy.Forged steel shackle designed particularly for attaching to a chain and then to an anchor. 1 1/2" Shackel pin opening has a spread room for a 2 1/2" line. Is a very rugged unit which has been in use over the recent past. Measures 9" overall. It was in the assets of a NASA contractor that closed due to contract draw downs. It looks rugged and really is. The contractor was required to meet precise spec requirements, and this certainly did. This is the grand daddy of shackels and is a heavy duty one. Is of forged steel and has imprented in the body 212690-2. Weighs about 19 pounds. Is tough and ugly and has not been prettied up, only a light spray of grey. Ultimate load is 102 tons. It is required to not deform in and way at 102 tons. A single extra ton pushes it into imminent danger. The proof load is 37.4 tons. Is definitely ... morea great shackle. There is no reserve, high bidder will definitely get it no matter whaI it is. Will ship to any continental US address by priority mail, USPS. for 15.00. I have tried to describe it as I look at it. I am not experienced with rigging. It is guaranteed exactly as described and in the pictures. The dimensions are 9" top to bottom) by 5" outer width of lower part) The opening(from inner top to pin top) is 5" The opening looks like it can handle up to 3-1/2" The inner dimension(space between pin openings) is about 2-1/4" The pin is 7" long and 1-1/4" in diameter. The shackle is not marked so I don't know the exact WLL but I found comparable pins ranked at about 20 tons. This shackle has been sitting as a door stop for probably the last 10 years or so.
