Vintage thumb press clicker Eagle Oil Can metal tin 9" x 4 1/2
Vintage Eagle oil can. It is all metal with a long oiling spout measuring 5 3/4" The measurement from the bottom of the can to the top tip is 9" x 4 1/2 on the bottom. It in good condition with oil residue on the sides and bottom as well as some scratches from use. No rust noted. Very nice oil can and would be great for the collector you know. Pedersen Model 282 hydraulic clicker press. Table size 36 x 18 inches. Platen Size 24 x 20 inches. Stroke 3 inches. These dimensions are approximate. I just measured the machine in the crate. Estimated weight about 2000 lbs. This machine was used for die cutting heavy leather for instrument cases. It was in good working order 15 years ago when it was crated up and moved. But never installed at our new factory. It has been sitting in a crate ever since. I do not have a date of manufacture, but it is probably about 50 years old. I did not see an electrical specifcations plate. I am guessing that it is 240V because electrical connection is 3 wires plus a ground. Machine is located in Northern Los Angeles area. This machine has been sitting in my shop for years. It was used for die cutting plastic. Leather and paper. The upper platen is 11.5 x 16 inches. The lower platen is 14 x 18. Most of these machines came fromm the leather cutting industry and are 3 phase. THIS ONE HAS BEEN MODIFIED TO RUN 120V NORMAL HOUSE HOLD CURRENT. It is also built on a wheeled based allowing it to be move around easily. It can be rolled up on a lawn trailer for easy transport I'm guessing that thi press weighs in at about 400-500 lbs. This machine needs work! One head does not work at all as the pump is out. The other head has a severe loss of power as it has a crack in the cylinder. SOLD AS-IS. I do not have an estimate of what the repairs for this machine would cost. Very well loved and well used machine. We used it with multiple metal die to cut leather and rawhide. We have upgraded to a larger machine and no longer need this one. I do not have the original paperwork. The machine is old. The cutting surface is 30" x 60" 240v. 3p. I believe it to be about 20 tons per head. I'm guessing it weighs around 4000+ but if you're scheduling a truck we'll need to try to get a better estimate. Although the packing and blanket thickness may have been accurately measured by a thickness guage before mounting on the press. This is a set of steel-rule dies shaped to cut the Greek alphabet. It was intended to cut cloth for the production of fraternity and sorority garments(shirts. Sweaters, jackets, etc. but it can just as effectively cut paper. These dies were made by a company called ADC. Or Athletic Die Cutters. Since it produced these dies the company changed its name to Advanced Cutting Systems, or ACS, and moved to Live Oak, Florida. You can see its products by clicking This die set came with an ADC rotary cutter(not included in the auction) We have no use for these dies so here they are. They should work in most roller die cutting machines like AccuCut GrandeMARK MARK III. IV, and Super Jumbo as well as Ellison SureCut ClearCrop AllStar Sizzix. The die set has a.918” blade height(measured from the back of the die to the tip of the cutting blade) The.918” ... moreblade height is an industry standard and most machines can be set up to use.918” The dies themselves are still very sharp and testing shows that they are still very capable of effortlessly cutting through multiple layers of cloth. The dies mount on 5/8-inch birch plywood. The largest die boards measure 5 3/4 by 8 3/8. Some are smaller. The gaps in the set are largely due to the fact that some of these dies cut shapes for multiple letters. For example. Theta consists of the major shape from omicron dies with a detail from xi. And there are a few missing dies. For example, there are neither Sigma dies nor the detail die for omega.
