Check this out! Apart from their great multicolored graphics. One of the fun attractions about Victorian trade cards is they often picture bizarre things that bear no resemblance to the product they’re advertising! For instance, what does a chef feeding a hunk of steak to the moon have to do with wool suits? The moon doesn’t look too happy about it either! Looks like he’s being force-fed! The trade card is 4-1/8 x 2-3/4" and we’ve enlarged it a bit to show all the great detail. It’s also in PRISTINE condition. Both sides are super clean& crisp with no stains or creases. The construction of Ferramonti began on June 4. 1940, less than a week before Italy entered World War II. The arrest of Jewish citizens began on June 15, and prisoners began arriving at the camp on June 20. Between June, 1940, and August, 1943, there were 3,823 Jewish internees at Ferramonti, of which only 141 were Italian. The majority, 3,682 people, were foreign-born.
