Crane was ex-AirForce. Brass plate has a number 8,003,004 toward upper RH corner and the Garwood Industries square on rectangle emblem in lower left hand corner area of plate. Plate gives visual identification of control levers, pedals, and positioning useage/actions depending on which attachments are in use. This is a brass plate approximately 11" long x 8 5/8" tall x.065 thick from a 1956 Garwood Industries(Findlay Division. Findlay, Ohio) Model M20B truck mounted crane on a FWD 6 x 6 chasis. Crane was ex-AirForce. Brass plate has a number 8,003,010, plus SN# 1105 and Engine# 1004760 in upper RH corner, and the Garwood Industries square on rectangle emblem in lower left hand corner area of plate. Plate gives visual identification of lubrication spots/locations for the crane(boom, sheaves, pullerys, blocks, sprockets, control levers, rollers, shafts, pedals, gears, swing, hinge points, universal joints, etc) Also has type of lube and capacities and instructions on when and where and sometimes how, example: O = Alemite fitting/ Daily/ Ball& Roller Bearing/ Lubricant of#2 Consistency] Brass plate has a dark patina but is still readable. ... moreLooks to be in good shape, no dents or bends.
