The inside looks to be in good shape, and does not have any odor, so I assume it has just been used for water. I filled it up with water and it seals well with no leaks. This is a vintage antique Low Water Closet made of Oak type wood with a rock type marble top(not plastic) It is lovely sitting by itself as a decoration and used as a low shelf. The marble lid measures 22 inches long by 9 inches deep and it has a small hole in it and is 7/8 inches thick. The back of the water closet is stamped"No 3 Tank Patented Aug. 11. 1908. The original copper lining is in the tank, along with its parts less its flapper and original flush handle. The original flush handle is missing and was replaced with a modern reproduction, the handle part only. It appears a board maybe missing, or it was made this way as I see no nail holes, on the back side at its base. A board 2 1/2 inches by 19 3/4 inch maybe missing there. The marble lid is not the original lid for this water closet. The water closet measures 20 1/2 inches ... morewide by 8 3/4 inches deep by 15 inches high or 16 1/4 inches high with the marble lid attached. I used this water closet as a table and decoration in a bathroom and the last few photos shows boards underneath the unit so that it balanced with the piping still attached to the closet. I will include the small boards to balance the unit in case you desired to utilize the water closet as a table or furniture. Or as a decoration conversation piece. 1920, unusual Water Tank, Honolulu, Hawaii 4x5 Photo
Vintage Hawaii Photo, Ok. 4 years ago I bought a Hawaii photo album complied by the same person, photographer, library or museum? At the time I thought the numbering system were just random but now after buying this second album they were part of a HUGE Photo collection. This Album starts with numbers 27,300 and went to 27,399 most of which were Hawaii. Wish I had more info but that's it. Some of the photos in this Album look like they were from 1912- 1915 era with some into the late 1920s. So this giant collection must have been complied into the albums in the late 20s? The Album was the style where you would just slip the photo in and the only thing securing it was the small gum sticker. The second picture was taken while in the Album page before I removed it from the Album. The first pic is with just the gum sticker and the what was ... moreleft of the album page with the gummed sticker. Easy to just wet the gum sticker with a Q-tip or small brush and it should come right off. Size app: 4 x 5 inches Condition is: VG+ First pic is scanned at 600 DPI color. Vintage Antique Quick Meal Wood Coal Cook Stove w/ Copper Water Tank Heater
Antique Quick Meal Wood Coal Cook Stove with Copper Water Tank Fellow eBayers, Offered for bid is an antique wood/coal burning stove manufactured by the Quick Meal Stove Co. Div of the American Stove co. This stove is model#9035-34 serial#3367. History; The exact age of the stove is unknown. This stove was already in my grandmothers house when they moved here in 1938. Sometime within the next 10 years it was replaced by a wood/coal/gas cook stove. It was moved to the"woodshed" attached to the house and has been there since. At least 60 years. Condition; The photos tell the condition well. Once the first 50 years of grim came off I was surprised to find it in fair condition. There is a fair amount of surface rust but also a lot more enamel than expected. The only area rusted though was in the fire box. All the pieces appear present ... moreincluding the lid handle and grate shaker. The grates are stuck and will need to be unfrozen. I didn't try hard to get them to move. There was a cast piece in the firebox resting on the grates that did not seem like it belonged there but its going with stove anyway. One of the big surprises was to find the copper water heater tank in good condition. It held water for 2 days without a leak. The stove looks to be usable as is but should be an excellent candidate for restoration. Shipping will be best way. Total est weight 400# or more. Local pickup is also welcome.
