Up for auction is a lot of one dozen(12) batting practice(maybe games before that) baseballs from the AAA Durham Bulls(affiliate of the Tampa Rays) I personally caught all these watching batting practice at the Bulls park over the last few years. And they were all home runs to the left/center field. I don't remember exactly who hit them, but at the time there were future major league players such as Wil Myers, Desmond Jennings, and others. 2 Nightstands + Queen slat bed - Manhattan by Durham; Mattress-Stearns & Foster
Gorgeous wood bedroom set. That is comprised of 2 Nightstands, 1 Queen headboard and solid wood bed rails with slats(bed frame) Stearns and Foster queen mattress and queen boxspring. The bedroom set was purchased at Sheffield Interiors(used to be Danker Furniture) Stearns& Foster Mattress purchased from Mattress Discounters. Paid over $3000 for these pieces combined. Have receipts. I purchased this set and the mattresses for my daughter in 2012, and the first photo shows the set in her bedroom. She has now decided that she wants to be a free spirit and doesn't want'things' tying her down, so I am selling. I paid $2400 for the 2 night stands and the headboard and frame and over $600 for the mattress set. The furniture is very well made, and I purchased it to last a lifetime. The tops also resists the chemicals in most household liquids for up to 24 hours. Dark cherry finish with brushed nickel drawer pulls. This is a current collection and can be seen in person at any Sheffield Furniture store and is also carried at other high end stores that have the Durham line. And I have been very busy sorting, laundering and photographing. I also went to two auctions in Northern England last week, and managed to buy some extraordinary antique Durham quilts- I am listing three of them this week. Lots of wonderful 19 th century French fabrics are being unpacked and laundered– some are listed this week. Do keep popping back to see what I have listed! This is a wonderful example of finely stitched Durham quilt. Dating to around 1910. It is in pristine, apparently unused condition with the blue stamp marks still clearly visible. Because of this I have not attempted to launder it. There are a few small storage marks that would ... moredisappear if you decided to do so. I was lucky enough to acquire three incredible quilts last week- all from the same collector. This is a very large, but summer weight quilt measuring 220cm x 242cm. It is hand stitched, with machine sewn edges. The reverse is plain ecru cotton, and the fine stitching is clearly visible on this side. No damage or wear. This is a museum quality quilt- one for the collector. Many photographs below. PLEASE READ. I sell antique and vintage textiles and ephemera- unique items that have history. And may show signs of this- it is part of their charm. I try to describe any obvious faults as truthfully as I can. John Ruffin Green processed and sold tobacco from Durham, N.C. during the American Civil War- it was very popular on both sides- front-line troops often traded Green's tobacco for northern Coffee and more. After the war his advertising built up the company- he brought in W. T. Blackwell, who built the behemoth through top-line advertising and product. Here is a splendid illustrated Letterhead Invoice from 1906, when Blackwell' Durham Tobacco Co. from its New York office, invoiced the Buford Merc(antile) Co. Virginia City Montana, for product.
