Durham" Serv Set" TV Snack Tray w/ Rack NOTE: The chances of finding a set like this. With all 4 Trays AND Storage Rack/ Holder are very slim. We've all seen one or two together, but all 4 with rack is rare. I know the word"rare" is over used on ebay, but after extensive searching here, and other sites, I'm going to stick with that word) Please read on. USA made classic 50s TV Snack Trays with matching storage rack. Complete. Nothing missing, nothing broken. 4 trays total. 1 was used way more than the others and has some fading, scraping, etc. see pics) The remaining 3 are in good shape given their age/vintage. These have a great design in that the strong, thick legs and frame actually disappear into the rolled rim of the top. This hides the steel frame in the rim; and makes for NO rivets or screws on the tray ... moresurface. These are not perfect, as stated one was used more the other three, but overall good shape. The rack holds them securely. The base of the rack has a"tip proof" frame.will not tilt/tip backwards or forward. Truly, smart design. The trays are sheet metal with"Burlap" print/litho pattern. 3 great shape, the other shows wear, fading, etc. I've mentioned"smart design"here's one more point.these have rolled rim to stop spills. These are about 1/2" deep. Aprx. dimensions: 17" x 14" Tray height: 24" Rack: 9" deep x 18" wide. These are very heavy. The legs and frame are not tubing like most trays.these are made strong, solid steel. All four, with the rack weigh over 26 pounds. Napoleonic 68th Durham Regiment of Foot Light Infantry Gold, Silver Cloak Chain
Hello and welcome to my auction. I have for sale a beautiful pair of Napoleonic period gold gilt cloak chains. The badges themselves are inset in with 3 prongs and I believe they are silver. I haven't had them tested but the quality of these makes me believe they are silver. The gold gilt is in very good condition for its age and has never been cleaned. All the prongs that secure the badges are present as are the loops as can be seen from the pictures. I have put the description down as 68th Durham Regiment Of Foot Light Infantry as the buttons and other things that came with these are all to this regiment so i believe these are too however I have tried to do as much research as possible and I have found only one other match to it which is in a museum. Hand stitched quilting with the designs radiating from a central point. The quilting is in excellent condition- no loss of stitching and executed in small stitches. Mid weight cotton batting. 19th Century Reproduction Map This reproduction map was hand drawn from the original map by Thomas Moule dated between 1831 and 1850. The map is printed on good quality paper measuring 16" x 20" and comes delivered rolled in a postal tube. Thomas Moule was an English antiquarian. Writer on heraldry, and map-maker. He is best known for his popular and highly decorated county maps of England, steel-engraved and first published separately between 1830 and 1832. Moule was born in Marylebone. London. He sold books in Duke Street, Grosvenor Square, from 1816 to 1822. Later, he became an inspector of'blind' illegibly addressed) letters at the General Post Office. Back around 1880. Neither party knew who they would put up to run for President. Hayes had promised to serve only one term, so the GOP thought they might run former President Grant again. The democrats 1876 candidate, Samuel Tilden, had won more popular votes but lost in the electoral college, so why not run him again? Consequently this 3 3/8" x 4" color lithograph, advertising, folding trade card(opens to 5 5/8" shows two guys who didn't even get the nod, making it pretty unusual. There's a bent corner TR, some edge and surface wear, too, but geeze it's amazing this is still intact and this nice after 125 years.

Plaque, Transmittal Letter, Plaque Holder and Addressed envelope to next of kin. Some research including a copy of attestation document. Henry Birch was born circa 1877 in Bracknell and was a gardener by trade when he enlisted on the 12th August 1916 at Kingston upon Thames and was appointed to the 5th Durham Light Infantry. His original service number was 9106 and later changed to 202170. Date of Death 14/10/1918. Henry is buried Kirechkoi-hortakoi military Cemetery. Everything was sent to his wife Edith A Birch 7 Hatfield Road. Ashstead Surrey. Medals impressed correctly to 9106 Pte H Birch DURH L.I. Plaque to Henry Birch. Plaque and transmittal letter have al l being framed and have been that way for a long time. The plaque and medals were fixed to felt by means of sticky fixers. The medals have become loose and thus some residue to the reverse. As you can see in the photos the ribbons although original are faded from sunlight. The ink to the letter is slightly faded but still very legible.
