Check out the following link: These are linen postcards. Printed circa 1935-1950. Both of the folders are also linen. One of the postcards has a postmark(1941) and writing. The Asheville folder has scrapes on the front cover. And the Durham/Duke folder has an old tape repair along the top(see scans) Otherwise. Vintage Durham's Box for Train Set - Instructions & Lionel Pamphlets
This auction is for a few vintage train related items. There are 2 Lionel pamphlets. One is"How to Build a Railroad Empire" It is illustrated and has many ideas. There is also a pamphlet of operating instructions. Another item is a vintage box for a Durham's train set. The box has a cardboard and a plastic insert. It also comes with the original instructions which have yellowed with age. The box show a little wear but is in overall good condition. It measures 7 1/2" x 12" and is 2 1/4" deep and was made in Japan. THIS IS FOR BOX AND INSTRUCTIONS ONLY- NO TRAIN. Last are 3 pieces of small train track. They are slightly different shapes but all 3 are approx. 10" long and 1" wide. I'm not sure what train they went to but they appear to be in good condition. Thanks for looking at my site.

The top of the vinyl wrapped metal case reads DURHAM DUPLEX and it has the companies crest logo as well. Inside of the case is an unopened cardboard box of 5 razor blades and, what I think is, an unopened bar of soap and/or lather bar. One side of the razor is engraved Pat. U.S.A. Nov, 7, 11 And Foreign Countries. The other side of the razor is engraved Made in U.S.A. ~ Durham Duplex and it has the crest logo engraved as well. The casing is amber-ish brown-ish in color. It is made of a hard plastic type of material. You will also receive a 12 page instruction booklet and 1 page advertising sheet. The paper sheets/pages have small edge rips and are multi-folded. Listing Fantastic Fresh Estate Finds from all over the Eastern USA. This is a fantastic vintage 007 James Bond Movie toy. Made circa 1960's for the movie. It was made in Japan by the Bandai company for the Durham company in America. It is the M101 Aston Martin DB5. It is a remote controlled BAttery Operated toy car. With metal body. It runs on 3D size batteries. The controller has two settings with one button. The two settings are run and guns along with an eject button. It is in good working running condition. The switch is a little tricky. If you push it to far one way or the other it doesn't work. When in run mode it goes all over and drives. Sometimes slowing down and getting stuck. The gun position it runs in reverse spinning and the red flashing guns come out of the front and the bullet proof shield pops out of the back. The ... moreeject button only works some of the times. 1768 RIVER TEES Antique CANAL MAP T. KITCHEN Stockton Darlington Durham N. Yorks
Original 1768 issue of the map by Robert Whitworth(assistant to Brindley) showing`A plan of the River Tees. And of the intended Navigable Canal` etc. This must be the map which comes from the Brindley Whitworth Proposal report(see text lower left) published in 1769. Engraved by Thomas Kitchen. A google search on its history shows it was too pricy to build and was not built until after 1810. Not to be confused with the smaller(and without vignette view) map published in the Gents Mag for 1772. Size of the engraved area is 370mm x270 plus margins or 23 inches by 10 and a half plus margins. Lower right gives(unusual) instructions for the hand colouring of the Map. The colouring could be improved by a good hand using old style colouring. Condition.very good. On sound laid paper(correct for date, see photo taken through light) without foxing or ... moretearing and not pasted down, the plate mark can be seen within the full margins, it has 2 quarter folds and a central tab fold(where it probably sat in the original report) slight browning to outer margins.no defects. As you will see, the paisley design is still very bright and vibrant, some gentle fading to the dusky pink block colour but this is minimal and certainly does nothing to detract! Measuring approx 82" x 66" You can see the quilt displayed on a double bed, it fits well with very little'over hang' ... moreThis piece would look wonderful on a single bed as there would be ample'over hang' or for use as a runner or topper on a larger bed. The colour of the plain fabric and edging is a very pretty. Antique white quilted whole quilt Durham quilt with center star~10-12spi As is. This is a beautiful quilted white whole quilt from Durham England. Circa early 1900's. This is called a North Country quilt and has all the tell-tale marks to authenticate. This quilt has a seam connecting 2 widths together. There are princess feather quilting around the perimeter of the quilt primarily. The center motif is an eight point star that is quilted in even smaller seed stitches. This is a key feature of the old North Country quilts. The quilt measures 77" x 84" The quilt is clean with no noticeable spots or stains. However, there is thinning and damage at some of the edges of this quilt. Also there is a small less than dime size hole near the edge and some fabric pops here and there. For this reason I am selling"as is" for repair ... moreand restoration or repurpose this glorious densely quilted masterpiece. If you don't restore or cut down for a smaller quilt this is so beautiful I am sure one can find many useful purposes for this. Please Read Description: This is a neat old watch from 1977. But I won't sugar coat it. You probably won't be wearing it to your next Disney fan club meeting. It is cute as a collectable to display but does have the following noticeable issues: The little thing that holds the band in the clasp is broken off, the rivets on the band have some rust on them, and the lens does have some surface scratches but not too bad for the age. It can be diddled around with and get his feet to dance but the stem doesn't feel like it is working right so it is difficult to set the time and wind it.
