55 TON CHROME SHACKLE CLEVIS
For sale is a real authentic 55 ton shackle that has been triple chrome plated! It is in great condition with only 2 small rock chips. If you have not seen one of these in person. It's big and heavy! Approx 18 inch long and 2.5 inches in diameter. It mounts to the hitch with a receiver made from schedule 80 square tubing. Very strong stuff! Also to protect the chrome, two custom made Teflon washers were fabricated to go between the receiver hitch and knuckles on shackle. These can be seen in pictures. Another was also made to protect the chrome on the pin/thru bolt and greased so there is no metal to metal contact what so ever. With something so unique and shiny it attracts attention, even bad attention like theft so to lock in place a half inch stainless steel bolt with mushroom shaped ends, kind of like a rivet was added to keep from ... morebeing able to unscrew nut to remove pin. INDUSTRIAL 1 3/8" USED CROSBY LIFTING CLEVIS SHACKLE Made in USA
This is a 1 3/8" Crosby Clevis. It is used a little beat up and a little rusty but is in very good usable shape just not as pretty as a new one. I don't paint them and try to hide anything You can see what it is. The bottom side beat of the bend has most of the letters beat to where you can't read them You can make out. 1 3/8" The USA and the Y on Crosby. And the pin screws in and out like it should. Here is an old Crosby Shackle with Clevis pin. Working condition. Just looks ugly since it lost most of its paint and has a lot of surface rust. The clevis pin screws in and out easily enough. If appearances are important to you I'd recommend a good rust remover followed up with a healthy dose of industrial tractor paint which should do the job. Please check out the photos.
