This auction features a very nice rare antique/primitive late 1800s 2-jet gas Nautical/Maritime Channel Marker with deep crimson dome glass atop a porcelain over steel base. The bottom is soft copper with a gas shut off value contained in the lower unit. 28 inches from shut off to the top of the dome. Dome is 8 1/2" tall; 9 1/2" diameter. The steel rim base is 14" diameter. The light would have been on shore at the entrance to a harbor or positioned on a land base. So as to be connected to a gas source.
