Southbend lathe 9" & LT 10" compound rest scew ass'y AS230NK3
This is a good slightly used screw ass'y. It still has the waxy coating on the handle and dial. I can tell it was mounted at one time. The nut has very little play on the screw. Im not a fisherman but my grandfather was. Tucked away was this old fly rod. If I remember correctly. We would fish(a long time ago) on the Red River outside of Fargo North Dakota. I vaguely remember him assembling his rods on the banks as I ate peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. I will pack very well and ship quickly. US only please. Southbend 9" Lathe, Complete Taper & Apron.
This Taper comes from a very well maintained 9" Southbend Lathe. I removed this piece from a working lathe on yesterday, I cut a very nice long taper with it a few days prior to that. This attachment is just short of pristine condition, it has a few little nicks and they are shown in the photos. The mechanics suggest very low usage. Listed is one 4 piece vintage South Bend bamboo fly-fishing rod with a soft cork handle. Dual end pieces and cloth carrying bag. The bleeding print on the original original label states it is number 47, inspected by 372, length 9' It is in good condition for its age with not much wear to the rod or handle. I hate to part with this one. Very good condition for age. All parts in tact. Light wear on rod and handle for age. The inspectors print on the cloth sack has bleeded a bit. A few loop wrappings are beginning to come undone as in pictures. It is missing its original hard case. All questions are welcome.
