Up for bid is a small Wilton bench vise made in the USA which has jaws that are 2 ¼ inches wide. With the base attached. The vise stands about 4 inches tall. I believe the red paint is original as I have seen others painted this way. As you can see. The vise turns on the base and can be locked into place using the thumb screw. The vise shows signs of use and has dings. Scuffs, stains, etc. but appears to be perfectly usable and would be nice for delicate work. The moveable jaw slider is bent(not by me) It has a ding or two. It is rusty. It is currently frozen, though I’ve sprayed it down with WD–40. Rare Veit & Young Vise / Wilton, Parker Vise
This is a very rare and high-quality vise made by The Veit& Young Machine Company in Huntington Valley. PA. The machining is very precise and the vise works very smoothly. There is no lateral slack and only a couple of 1000ths front to back. The jaw width is 4 1/2” jaw opening is 6” Hardened steel jaws are reversible with smooth on one side and a light texture on the other. There is also a leather dust brush for removing dust, which can be seen in the photo. Approximate weight 35 lbs. and approx. height of vise is 8” I cleaned it, lubed it and repainted it. Vintage Wilton Under Bench Mount Vise, Model # 161015
This vise functions well and is in very good overall condition with only some light rust in places. The vise jaws measure 4"X10" and open to 12" Overall length of this vise is 20" It has a r apid-release function which allows quick removal of the work piece from the jaws. I listed the model number as 161015 because that number is stamped on one of the jaws but there's also a number stamped on the handle which is 161072-10. WILTON VISE 450S, 2009 MODEL 4 1/2" JAWS, EXCELLENT!!
Fellas. The only way to get this bigger 76 lb Wilton 450S in nicer shape is to pay alot more money for a new one. This vise came in as a stationary and I added a new base assembly which accounts for the color difference. I cleaned and lubed the spindle, took off the jaws off and thoroughly inspected all pieces. The jaws are crisp, handle response is quick. The replacement HD swivel handles I purchased at This 2009 model shows well in all the photos and its operation matches its condition which is near perfect except for some paint loss which brings me to this issue. But it's also the reality of our sad Walmart priced/disposable society. Except for a scant few like Yost, the vises being manufacturer today are 99% Chinese made. Pot metal junk. Even the once mighty Wilton has ruined their reputation with Chinese sourced pot metal vises sold at Lowes. Its NOT a Wilton- at least not the ones you remember. I have pics of"new" Wiltons broken in half after a few uses. Even their pro line is nowhere close ... moreto ones made in the 70's back. A quick google search will uncover DOZENS of"new" Wilton bullet vises with mounting feet broken off. The quality of the metal isn't there any more. As a mechanic my world revolves around impact wrenches and bench vises- This is a beautiful vise. In fact. This is my favorite Wilton model/size of all time. Jaws are 4" and it has both a swivel base and anvil back. It was found in a workshop that had been closed since the late 70's. It looks like it hasn't seen much use. Add a new coat of paint or put it to work as is. I haven't cleaned or painted the vise- sweat equity" keeps the prices low. Vises are one of my specialties. THIS is a good one folks. I try to list the very best Wiltons I can find. Some light cleaning and a fresh coat of Hammerite light blue spray paint and it will look like a million bucks. The 4" jaws are in excellent shape. Sharp facets on each with no scars or damage. This would be a great vise for the bench downstairs or out in the garage. HUGE vises are great too. But NOT FOR EVERY JOB. For your consideration and from a recent local Kansas City estate is this good used Wilton Powrarm model M-2 work holder/positioner ball vise. It is capable of holding your work in any position. Vertically or horizontally on anything in between. It has 3" jaws that open a full 4 inches. It measures 13" tall in the upright position and has a 6" diameter base. It weighs 13 pounds before boxing. It shows signs of use, with nicks and dings in the finish but no sign of wear. There are no broken or repaired parts. Large Wilton Vise Swivels 4 7/16" Jaws Opens over 8 inches Very Nice Little use
Here is an old Wilton Vise in very nice working condition. All levers turn easily and smoothly. Most of the surface rust that you see is from the old lead paint that has flaked. No cracks. Breaks or repairs. The stationary side has the# 101162 and the side that slides out is# 101163 and under it is a# E2780. There is a thin piece of metal that is inlaid(glued) into the side of the vise. I peeled it off just out of curiousity to see what was behind it-see pic- I guest it was for putting your own ID on it. UNFORTUNATELY while I was taking pictures the small piece fell to the ground and one of my dogs grabbed it and ran. I have not been able to find it but If I should I will update my description. AS of now the piece is missing. In no way does this effect the integrity of the vise. It looked like just a thin piece of aluminum or steel. The rusted ... morelead paint makes this vise look really old and used but in reality it hasn't seen much use at all. Strip it down and repaint it and it will be as good as new. When it closes it seals up nicely. No dents in the Jaws and it closes evenly and tightly. The rubber cushions on the tightening bar still have original paint and are in like new condition. I have no way to weigh this but I would imagine it weighs around 80 to 100 lbs. The Jaws are 4 7/16 inches wide and it opens to almost 9 inches before loosing contact. Pick up would be greatly preferred but I will ship with UPS if necessary. I will charge $100 for shipping and refund any overcharge.

All painted surfaces were stripped down to bare metal and prepped for paint. This what I believe is known as a swivel jaw vise. Made by Wilton in the USA. Part# on the removable part of the stationary jaw is 9B-SJ350. This piece is held in place on the body of the vise by a 1/4" diameter pin(hole in the side of the vise body as seen in the pictures) I have left it apart to better show how it is designed. I will put the pin before shipping. Unless asked not to. Jaws are 3-1/2" wide. Swivel base, no cracks anywhere. I don`t know what the threaded stud in the removable piece is for. It does not hold that piece to the vise body. I have bead blasted, painted, lubed and re-assembled the vise. As you can see, it needs new jaw inserts. Vintage 1961 Wilton Cadet Bullet Swivel Bench Vise 3.5" Jaws 18 Lbs. Made In USA
Full vise specifications are at the end of this listing. This vise may or may not look like it but I have a lot of work into the restoration. This was one of those projects that just gets away from you. I would make one thing look nice but then that made something else look bad by comparison. So I just kept chugging along and ended up spending a heck of a lot of time on it. Much more than I anticipated. I don't expect to recoup my efforts on this listing but I'm still glad I did it. I have more work into this vise than any other vise I've ever restored and that's saying something. I had to make several of the parts you see, more on this later. I'm fairly certain anybody else looking at it in the condition as it came to me would have tossed it in the scrap pile. I just couldn't let that happen though. I hate to see ... moreold USA tools head off for disposal. Plus, I've never restored a Cadet and wanted to get that notch on my belt. I'm proud of the end result and, if you end up being the high bidder, I think you will be too. All of the handles you see. Both the main screw handle and the swivel lock handles, were fabricated from hard steel. The original handle was a wimpy 3/8" in diameter, I took advantage of the situation by replacing it with a longer, beefier 1/2" thick handle that will be a lot more durable. The longer handle will also give you more precise control over jaw placement. The pivot pin which centers the vise on the swivel base was fabricated as well. It took a some metal smoothing to make the cast iron body look this nice as well. All of the parts were stripped down to bare metal and inspected. The rear jaw shelf is a bit rounded down on one corner, this won't have any negative repercussions as most all of the shelf remains fine. The action is super slick in and out, as smooth and nice as any vise I've had in my hands. I dont know much about this vise but im sure its missing a bottom piece or something like that and it looks to be maybe painted over red or something or it may just be how it came from wherever it came from.I do not know if it is old or a newer one. It did and still has rust in spots but I cleaned what I could off with a wire brush and some knocker loose but again some remains. It opens and closes like it suppose to but remember if you buy this it will probably still smell like knocker loose because that scent tends to hang around whatever you spray it on. Wilton 9400 Bullet Vise 4" Jaws - Excellent USA Made Tool
Wilton 9400 Machinist's vise with swivel base. A very heavy duty 100% MADE IN USA tool. Well cared for and in great condition. It has been cleaned& freshly lubed. Movable jaw slides freely and handle can be rotated with one finger. Jaws are in good condition(pictures shown) and close evenly. Four inch wide jaws. 52 lbs of well designed functional cast iron American made tool. 12-31-62 stamped on the movable jaw key- I believe this means it was made in 1962. The fact that it still has the majority of the original Wilton"5 Year Guarantee" sticker on it shows you how much it has been used in the past 52 years. The hardware& base locking knobs are bright and I personally enjoyed the patina of the original paint and the remnants of the original Guarantee sticker- if you wanted to media blast and re-paint it would be a simple ... morejob to restore it to as manufactured condition. This vise was made in the US in an era when tools were made to last. I hope this vise goes to someone who will enjoy it as much as I have in decades to come.

Up for bid is a USA made Wilton Patternmakers tilt vise in good used condition. It comes with the original metal jaw inserts that allow you to go from a woodworking vise to a metal working vise and not mar the large. Flat, working faces of the vise. The jaws measure 4" across and have a throat depth of 2 3/4" The max opening is 3 1/2" and it weighs about 17 lbs The unique base on this vise allows it to swivel from side to side while another lock allows the vise to be tilted up past 90 degrees and locked into position for a different working angle.

Vintage York 125 Bench Vise 5" Jaws with Swivel Base / Wilton Bullet Style Vice
Up for sale is a vintage York bench vise with 5" wide jaws that has been meticulously restored. It weighs a little over 37 lbs. The vise was disassembled completely. Media blasted inside& out, two coats of primer, and two coats of Rustoleum Hammered Light Blue. Bare metal such as the jaws, handle, and slide were polished and coated with paste wax. The inside of the vise was primered to prevent rust, as was the bottom of the base. Threads and swivel area have been greased well. It's ready to be bolted to your work bench and put to use! This vise was made in Czechoslovakia and is the vise design that Wilton started their business from back in the 40's. The company is still in business. You can check out their website at There are no repairs. Cracks, etc. There are a few dents& dings as you can see in the pictures from typical ... moreuse. Handle is straight but has a few little gnaw marks on it. I could have smoothed some of the rough spots in the casting out but I like to leave everything as original as possible. Note that because this is a foreign made vise, everything is metric thread. It's all original except I got some nice new shiny nuts for the lock-downs, I still have the original ones and I will ship them with the vise. I really hate to sell this vise but I'm trying to thin down my personal collection. I'll be listing a few more vises in the coming weeks so be sure to check them out. If you want to purchase more than one I can try to combine shipping but it will probably end up being freight. I find that shipping via Fastenal is the cheapest.
