I have for auction these vintage machinist work hold blocks. They are as found and in good used condition. the work hold block in the middle is a threaded vise/clamp. The center rod is where the user opens and closes the vise/clamp with the allen wrench pictured. see pictures 4& 5) the two auxiliary bars are guide to keep the clamp/ vise straight in line. The other block,are unusual to me, I would guess a machinist will know their intended use. there is some winor signs of wear. There is also some minor surface rust and a few areas of minor pitting. Hi there. This is a used fly tying kit. Comes with a ton of hooks. Wire, string, feathers, etc, and it has a vise for tying the flys with a clamp, scissors, some strange looking wax blocks and a bunch of other tools for making flys like hooked tools, super tiny pincers, and so on. Also has a bottle that's 3/4 filled with some kind of varnish. There's also a little tin box which has plastic-covered compartments with super tiny flys and materiel in it for crafting even smaller flys(I suppose) I know nothing about this stuff whatsoever, I don't know the brands of anything, or the condition of what this stuff is supposed to be in- so please don't ask me. I found this kit while cleaning out my basement, not even sure where it came from. The outside of the box itself is in fine condition- no dents or big scratches, definitely not ... moreworn out, the buckle holding it closed is still tough and solid, overall it is a very sturdy and durable tackle box, should be used for years and years to come. This vise has 3 1/2 inch jaws and opens to about 4 3/4 inches. It is a heavy duty vise. It measures 12 inches from the hold down in the front of the vise to the end of vise and the base is about 11 inches. There is a little bit of paint on one of the hold downs for the vise. Vintage Heavy Duty Press Vise No. 598 High Tensile strength Steel Made in Poland 6" jaws 7" max throat clearance. Front plate is chipped but still completely functioning. Random chips in the paint. Lo go is partially worn away but I think it Said High Quality across the center I cant quite make out the rest. There is also a cast logo on the side of the front jaw that looks like a backwards F then a P over the top of a U. It is very heavy and has 3 mounting holes on the swivel base. the dovetail ed sliding portion has adjustments to take up slop and compensate for any wear that occurs o ver the years. The threads are perf ect and it operates smoothly.

This Record 2075B Vise(Or Vice as they spell it in England. is quite unusual and definitely handy. It has two features which make it unique; The first is that it doesn't have metal jaws but ones made from polypropylene. This is a dense. Plastic-like material which isn't aggressive on softer surfaces. Excellent for holding things like circuit boards and model parts. The second feature is that this vise is reversible. That means. If you need extra distance you can unscrew the dynamic jaw so that it's completely free, swivel the main body 180 degrees and then thread it into the rear side. This gives you an extra three inches of opening distance should you require it. Pretty neat. Huh? This is obviously a well made tool from a name synonymous with quality vises. Now. USA made vise& great quality! 4" jaws, opens up 6" features pipe jaws, swivel base& anvil.Vise us in good condition, no cracks or welds, pipe jaws are a little worn. This is a working vise but does have some flaws. Has some rust, handle has a bend, 1 screw broken off in each jaw, missing the handle for the swivel adjustment. This was originally welded to a steel platform, it was taken off with a grinder, you can see the marks along the bottom edge of base. I always oil my tools with a metal protector. I PUT THE ADHESIVE GRIPS FOR CONVENIENCE ON. THEY ARE MERELY ADHESIVE TAPE AND COULD EASLY BE REMOVED. The main screw post is fully greased and very clean turns butter smooth absolutely now wobble or resistance. 1/4 inch wrench twist handle comes out if you desire. No rust on that either. I tried to learn engraving and practiced on Brass Plates. ... morePerhaps 10 or 20 plates. I've sold the very expensive engraving equipment(GRS) as well. This is all that remains. Vintage Wilton Mechanics Swivel Bench Vise #1750 5" Jaw width Heavy Duty USA
This is a nice Wilton 1750 vise with a 5" jaw width and swivel. When I got it the jaws were in bad shape. At some point. The bolts holding the jaws on had loosened, but the user continued to use the vise which caused the bolts to break off inside the holes. I have removed all of the old, broken bolts. A new set of replacement jaws and perhaps some new paint is all that would be required to restore this to new condition. The replacement jaws and bolts are available for around $25 online. I will include aftermarket aluminum jaws. These were originally held to the vise with magnets, which have now been crushed, so they just rest on the jaw faces. The pipe jaws on this vise are slightly different than I have seen on other versions of this vise. But perhaps this is an earlier design. Vintage Portable Machinist Vise Wood Case
Nice vintage very heavy machinist type vise in wooden case. Overall great shape no cracks or chips in casting. Screw mechanism works good. Base of vise measures 4 1/2" w x 9" l. Case good shape measures 11" l x 7 1/2" w x 9 1/2" h. Has unusual jaw inserts not sure what is for. Jaw face 1 1/4" h x 2" w.
