It is an Under Bench Style and is marked 161035. 161037, 161091 and DP. It has a neat looking wood handle and is yellow in color. The jaw is approximately 7" and it measures 12" in total length from the handle to the farthest point on the back braces. It is 6 1/2" across the front and the wood handle is 9 1/2" in length. The internal component of the jaw is supported with wood which measures 2 1/2" top to bottom. It weighs 9 lbs. 4 ozs. I removed this item from a workbench at a family estate auction. LeverLok Portable 3500-5000-Lb Vise / Press / Clamp Like 4-1/8"-Opening ViseGrip
I've been a vise collector for over 4 decades and owned more before I REALLY began collecting. Various driver sections are found. Screw drives are by far the most common for good reason. They're simple. Durable, can be made economically and everyone understands them. They produce equal driving pressure for any fixed user effort. Hydraulic and pneumatic driver sections produce driving pressure proportional to input fluid pounds-per-square inch. They are especially dangerous when operated by absent-minded operators because some operators have quickly and unintentionally crushed parts. Including body parts by accidentally triggering the pressure release valve. But they are wonderful tools when used in appropriate settings. Cam-lock vises and this similarly behaving LeverLok vise are compound- additive driver designs rather than relying ... moreon single-stage drivers. Unlike screw drives and hydraulic/pneumatic drives. The driving pressure compared to input force is NOT necessarily constant. Cam-vise designers can create any cam curve they wish. So the vise leverage ratio can be constant, mildly-progressive or even approach an infinite ratio as they approach maximum pressure. This LeverLok configuration does not offer the vise designer so much versatility. Like a Vise Grip pliers. Leverage ratio is highly progressive and approaches an infinite ratio as the driver lever load points approach perfect alignment with the vise load. That is why with quick adjustment and ordinary human strength without hammer blows this design can produce extraordinarily high clamping pressures. For a vise which only weighs a little over 5 pounds. Its useful upper clamping pressure limit may be some sort of pressure-to-weight record holder among vise designs. There are plenty of 50 pound vises which can't clamp as tightly as this machine. The first large-travel adjustment is made with a fast-acting driver section. Vintage Craftsman Woodworker's Vise, Model 506.51880
This very sturdy vise(it weighs 37# has jaws 4" tall by 10" wide. They are currently covered with 1/2" thick plywood so the maximum depth of opening is 10& 5/8" The vise mounts underneath the bench. The locking nut has a"clutch" so you can move the jaws in and out quickly; i.e. you don't have to turn the screw other than to lock or unlock the jaws. I used the vise for wood working and for holding a smaller metal-working vise that was screwed to a wooden block. I have now moved to The Old Folk's Home and must find new homes for my tools: Apart from some light. Tight rust in places, the vise is in excellent condition. Given the size and weight of the vise. I would prefer pick-up only. However, I would be willing to take it to a UPS store if someone wants to arrange for packing and shipping.

Vintage Bench Mount Machinists Vise
A really super interesting and clean vintage machinists vise probably made in the USA and most likely from the late 1930's as compared to other period pieces. Interestingly.no makers name anywhere. However there is No.161 stamped on the turn rod shaft. Bid confifently as this vise is as clean as it will get and is evidently very well made. Operates extremely smoothly. Accurately and quietly. Up for'buy it now' is a vintage bench vise or clamp. It has a stamped'M' surrounded by a square on both sides of the jaw. It is operated by a wing nut and screw and is spring opened. Flat inner surface of the jaws. Possibly used for woodworking. I could not find any info on the manufacturer's initial. It measures 6 1/2 inches long and just over 3 1/2 inches wide at the jaws.
