Large Taper Surface Grinder Wheel Adapter for 5” ID Wheels. Used: This used wheel adapter is in excellent condition. There is no brand name on it, but this wheel adapter came from a surplus lot we bought from IBM many years ago. All of the other arbor wheel adapters in this lot were Sopco. The large end of the taper mount measures 1 ¼” This adapter measures 7” in diameter and will hold large diameter 3/8” to 1” thick grinding wheels. This adapter uses six 3/8” x 16 cap screws for holding the plates securely against the wheel. Included with this arbor is a 2 piece balancing weight set. There is a threaded 1 ½” x 18 TPI internal thread at the end of the taper for a dismounting tool(not included) This arbor is sold with the Kent’s Tools 30 Day Satisfaction Guarantee. Used Wilmart and Morgan#1 manual surface grinder. Has a Walker 5"X10" magnetic chuck. Currently has a 6" wheel. Looks like it could take up to a 12" wheel. The wheel retainer nut has had a Hex welded onto it for easier removal. Powered by 1HP 220v 3Ph motor overdriven with vee belt to about 3400rpms. Paint is chipping off, includes a fabricated stand to bring it up to work bench height. The machine runs fine, is in average condition for its age. Call 314-750-1403 or email with questions.
