SHERLINE 1030, INDEPENDENT 4 JAW CHUCK
This item is a used Sherline 1030 independent 4 jaw chuck. There is a chip missing from the bottom of the#4 jaw. In my opinion this is cosmetic and has no effect on the function of the jaw or chuck. I received it direct from Sherline. That jaw was hard to move. When I removed it the piece fell off. Looking back I should have returned it. But it did the job and I haven't used it since. All jaws move smoothly. Check the pictures and decide for yourself.

Headstock ER-40 Collet Chuck for Sherline Lathe or Mill SCRATCH'N DENT
We had a headstock with a scratch around the front face near the bearing area(shown in one of the pictures. The rest of the photo's are stock photos)and we also had a spindle that was out of spec with a runout of around.003" Unfortunately, that spindle had very expensive sealed angular contact bearings we sell for nearly $400 and a Large Bore option we sell for $49. We shrink fit those bearings on and that means we couldn't get them off. So, in a nut shell, you will be getting a perfectly functional headstock(with cosmetic flaws) very expensive sealed angular contact bearings and ER40.790" large bore spindle with around.003" runout for very cheap! This is the only one and sold as is. Once its gone, it's gone. This operation is best accomplished with the use of a cut-off tool or"parting tool" as it is sometimes called. The SHERLINE Cut-off Tool and Holder consists of a very slender high speed tool steel cutting blade mounted in a special tool holder. The thinness of the blade(040" enables it to feed into the part quite easily and at the same time minimizes the amount of waste material. Straight knurls are often used on the end of a shaft that is to be pressed into another part. Straight or diamond knurl patterns are used to provide better grip on handwheels and thumbscrews. Sherline Thread Cutting Attachment P/N 3100 WHAT A FUN ADDITION TO YOUR LATHE! I needed to cut an unusual thread for one small screw and bought this thread cutting attachment. It was so easy to use and the screw came out prefect. Too bad I don't need to make more screws! But you can. One of the big advantages of having a lathe is that it gives you the ability to produce threads. In reality you do not normally cut threads on a manual lathe if they could be done with low cost taps and dies. The reason you cut threads is to produce non-standard threads for which you don’t have taps and dies. The second important reason is to produce a thread that is true or concentric with the centerline of the part. Along the bottom of the plate you will notice a larger hole that was added to modify it for a Sherline with an oil reserve. This is a precision ground cast aluminum plate for flatness. There are over 150.10-32 tapped holes on 1/2 inch centers. It is 1/2"x 4" x 12 1/2+" Very little use. Works with most mills including Sherline and Taig Models. This was removed from a Sherline. Tooling mill plates are on many of large shop machines. They not only protect the machine's table from damage. But they provide an inexpensive, modifiable surface for clamping work that is as flat as the machine's original table. I have a Sherline 8100/8160 3 axis digital readout that I removed from my sherline mill after I converted it to CNC. What's included is: 3 hand wheels with attached encoder disks. Encoder readers, actual digital readout unit, and power supply. The only thing that is not included are the little round washers that are mounted to each axis so the encoder readers can be attached. Those can be purchased from Sherline for about $10. The DRO functions flawless with no problems. My mill didn't have the RPM sensor but the display box has the input and field on the display so if you want rpm readout you just have to add the reader to your spindle pulley. Taig standard headstock with endmill holders and vice not for sherline mills
Complete Taig headstock with standard 3/4-16 threaded spindle nose and Taig taper. Same spindle is used on the mill and lathe. Also comes with the pulley. Everything in the picture is included. This is a kit that also includes an assortment of endmill holders. An arbor, and a brand new fly cutter. Used vice also included. This is a great value. Each endmill holder is about $20. Thats 9 x 20 = 180 alone in endmill holders! The headstock has very little use on it.

All entries are made from a simple keypad. No separate computer is needed. You get everything you need including the 4" Sherline rotary table with installed stepper motor. Microprocessor unit with numeric input keypad, 115 VAC power source and all necessary connecting cables. Operation is very ... moresimple. After entering the number of steps per revolution(or the number of degrees per step) on the numeric keypad, the table advances quickly and precisely to the next position at the touch of a single advance key. If an error is made, previous positions can be accurately recalled by hitting another button. Basic resolution is 28,800 steps per revolution, ±0.006° per step. This allows the accurate machining of items like gears with odd numbers of teeth. Computations are made internally to a high degree of accuracy to avoid cumulative errors. Used A2Z quick change tool post. This is an extra one I have and is a must have for any mini lathe user. It is compatible with many lathes out there. So far I have only used this model on a Unimat db/sl. Mounts via one cap screw(m6 if I remember correctly) Comes with one cutting holder. One boring bar holder, and one cut off holder.
