Up for grabs is a large lot of Dyna Mechtronic ER-16 Quick Change tooling. This tooling was originally sold with the Dyna Myte DM2400 series of CNC milling machines. They use a special clover shaped ER-16 nut(included) to allow the machinist to swap out tools with preset Z heights. Similar to larger CNC tooling systems. These are very rare and unique items. They will work on any spindle or tool holder that uses ER-16 collets including Taig and Sherline machines. These tool holders are in used but good condition. Some of them have some staining while the rest still look freshly ground and almost un-used. The tapers and bores are all in great condition. Please see the close-up of one of the 3/8" tool holder. Lathe is only 2 years old. Any other tooling in pictures do not come with lathe. Quality PowerMac stepper motors on both X and Z axis. Can be used manual. Pc-less CNC, or full CNC with EMC2 or Mach. Comes with zero handwheels installed on dual shaft steppers so can be used manually when motor cables are disconnected. Comes with controller and power supply box ready to run using EMC2 software. I will even include a CD with the EMC2 config file I was using to make it easier to get up and running. All settings are already setup. Controller can control up to 4 axis. So you could also use on a mill if you have one you want to add CNC to. For sale Sherline? CNC Lathe. Lathe is installed in heavy steel enclosures with electronics as well. I am almost sure its a Sherline but any identification has been removed I presume by the manufacturer of this kit. It carries the Depco name on the enclosure and I believe it was targeted to the educational market. Like I said machine and boards are in the enclosure but no cable or software included. Sold"as is" Lathe is operational. spindle spins and both axis move under power) I have it hooked up to a laptop running Mach 3 software and I can demonstrate that all axis are operational. I'm not proficient with Mach 3 but I created a simple program that moves the axis around so you can see it working. I removed the original Baldor controller board since I didn't want to learn the programing language(MINT) that was originally ... moresupposed to run the board. Instead I used a TB6560 board(it's shown in the photo) I still have the original Baldor board and will include it if you want it. Sherline CNC mill w/ MaxNC Closed Loop Motion Control System w/ Motors&Encoders
CNC Mill Project Sherline Mill/ MaxNC Closed Loop Controls This is a project I have been working on putting together. And am going to pass on to someone else as I don't have time to put into finishing it right now. See photos for what is included. Basically this is a Sherline CNC ready lathe in good condition and a closed loop motion control system with 3 NEMA 23 Stepper Motors with encoders(servos) The control system description is what the description for a CNC kit on MAXNC websight says. I looks pretty much like the one shown on maxnc.net/product_p/mccl3s.htm though one of the servo encoders is different than the other two. So I think it has been replaced. The mill has some small holes drilled in a few places for endstops/sensors from a previous control system which was installed on it, they might be of use or you might need to make ... morenew ones to hook on the endstop sensor switches which come with the MaxNC control system, by the way, one of the endstop switches seems broken but shouldn't be hard to replace as it looks like a simple momentary push switch. The wires where one of the encoders plugs into the machine is not firmly attached to its plug. There are little thinks like this to expect, this is used equipment and needs to be checked over before you use. The spindle motor is a Dayton- 1/5 hp 10.000 rpm- The cord on it is just temporarily put on with some twist connectors to test it as I was intending to run it off the motor leads that are coming off the control box above the on/off switch as I think it is a similar motor to the one which comes on a MaxNC mill. The headstock/spindle is standard thread and internal taper for Sherline. Note that this comes with 3 motors and servo/encoders. For the X,Y,Z axis' but the control box as you can see in one of the photos has a place to plug in an A axis also, I have never tested that output. The only testing I did on the control box was hooking it briefly into my computer and moving X,Y and Z axis motors with the LinuxCNC program, not running any gcode. A

RARE Jacobs 1B 0 - 1/4 drill chuck with key for sherline lathe mill 3/8 -24 THD
Up for bid is a rare and older model jacobs chuck with key. This is a 1B 0-1/4" capacity chuck. It is an older model cause the specs are written on the body rather than the hood or shell. JACOBS CHUCK' HARTFORD CONN' UNITED STATES OF AMERICA' is etched on the sides also as can be seen in the pics. The chuck is in very good condition and opens and closes without binding. The parts are fitted together with a tight tolerance. Hardly any play between body and shell. It has a 3/8" 24 thread so all sherline arbors works with it, I have tried a sherline arbor and it fits well. Nice hardly used sherline 4 jaw chuck unimat as found condition works fine
For auction this vintage sherline made in the USA 4 jaw chuck. It is in good ++ as found condition. It is about 3' in diameter. There is no signs of heavy wear or use. The jaws are in great used condition with no signs of abuse. The gears for the jaws are in great undamage condition. They are only slightly dirty and grimed up. Just a couple minutes of cleaning will fix this. There is some minor spots of surface rust from poor storage. This will all clean easily and quick. Headstock is labeled as Sherline Model 4000 as it came with the lathe. Spindle motor(Dayton 1/5 hp) runs and is controlled by both an on/off switch and a speed adjustment dial. The lathe is a model 4000 and shows signs of use. But appears functional in manual mode using hand-wheels. Includes tail-stock as shown. The mill is a model 5400 I believe. Due to measurements of base. Mill shows signs of use but appears functional in manual mode using hand-wheels. Mill has the adjustable zero hand-wheels. Using the hand-wheels. All axis move smoothly, I have not hooked up the stepper motors to electronics to test their functionality, so make no guarantees about their condition, but motors have no damage that I can see ... moreand may work fine.
