I bought this& was told it was in bank litigation since the year 2000 and was in storage. I cleaned the carburetor. Cleaned the points, plugs, rotor, distributor cap& had to change the starter with a good one that i had from another engine. I got it fired up and welded with it some and it welds good, but the exciter is NOT kicking the RPMs up- I don't know why and I am just selling it that way. The 110V outlet works- i plugged my angle grinder in& it worked like it should. I also had to clean the gas tank out. Here are 2 videos- this one shows the generator works: and this one shows it welding: It still needs a carb kit. Because the carberator drips. It may ... moreneed a little tinkering here and there, but it's a nice welder& worth putting a little time in it. The side panels are missing as well as the tube that goes from the air cleaner to the carb. The hour meter reads 1302.8 The trailer that it was mounted on was a POS. So I scrapped it and set it on this one, which is a nice heavy duty one with aluminum wheels. It is just setting on it and still needs bolted down- I will leave that to the winner of the auction to do or we can just weld it straight to the trailer when you get here. Otherwise, bring a trailer and I will set the welder and the trailer separately onto your trailer as 2 separate pieces. This is a local pickup in Sheffield. Ohio 44054. You have the option to purchase the welding leads for an additional $200.00 or you can have them free with the buy it now option. They are in very good condition. But the ends that plug into the welder are wrong& I have a couple ends that will work, but they need to be installed on the cables. This is a used machine I am selling. I no longer need two of these and I have gone through it ad put a new ground cable and a few other parts. There is also a brand new gas reg that is included. This is a gas powered welder-generator branded as Controlled Products GW130 but is a Miller GenerWeld 130. Miller provided welders that were sold under the CP name. 1980's unit with a Tecumseh engine. The fuel system has been cleaned and the carb has been rebuilt. Starts quickly and provides AC power(up to 3Kw) and from 50 to 130 amps AC for welding. Tested AC and welding arc. All good. Manual available in PDF form(for the Miller branded unit. Comes with 35' of electrode and ground cables. 1 gauge copper with good rod holder and ground clamp. That 70 feet of cable is around $3.75 per foot so there is over $250 in cable and clamps here.
