6” Buck Chuck with Back Plate for Logan. South Bend, or Atlas/Craftsman Lathe I recently bought two Atlas 10 lathes that came from an older gentleman so some tooling and parts are excess to my needs. I will be listing these as I identify what I do not need. This is a fully functional 3-jaw 6” Buck Chuck Model 2063R. It has a back plate that fits a 1-½” 8 TPI(threads per inch) spindle. I have tried it on a South Bend 9. A Logan, and an Atlas 10F lathe. As such it should fit several Sears models as well, but I cannot personally verify that since I don’t have one to try it. The current version of this chuck and back plate sells for $900- $1,200 new. Please see the pictures for the condition of this item. I think it is in fairly good condition. This item is sold as is. Boston GA 90 cast iron lathe change gear for Atlas Southbend Logan etc.
This is a Boston GA 90 cast iron lathe gear. This was a used gear in excellent condition. Which has been cleaned and re-painted to bring it back to a like new condition. I am unaware of the exact history of this part, but it seems to have practically no wear on it as you can see from the photos. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. Set of Logan 10" metal lathe legs. Cast iron, clean, no cracks or weld repairs. Surplus to our shop use. Legs were cleaned and painted with Rustoleum Machinery Grey a couple of years ago and used temporarily to hold a small mill so the paint shows a bit of scuffing. They fit a Model 200 or similar Logan lathe but have many other uses. We have used these for legs to cabinetmakers benches and elevated carving stands. It guards the gear train against overload shock. It installs in minutes. When a sudden overload of the carriage feed using a half nut occurs, the Automatic Safety Gear instantly throws out and a clicking noise warns of the overload.
