Used Clausing Colchester Atlas 13"X36' metal lathe with tooling. Powered by 230v 3 phase two speed motor 3HP with hyd unit for tracer and untested coolant pump in base. 35-1500 rpm and threading 4-112 tpi with quick change gearbox. Acessories and tooling: 6" 3 Jaw reversible chuck. 10" 4 Jaw chuck, follow rest, lantern toolpost with 5ea holders, Live Center, original thread dial, drill chuck on MT3, Hydraulic tracer attachment on back side of carriage, and chip guard. The tracer attachment is untested and missing one center to mount pattern. This allows either a round or flat template to be installed behind the bed and the tracer will duplicate it. Can be used to cut tapers as well. The lathe is on the original cabinet with some dinges, scratches and minor dents. The ways look good, no lip, with minor scratches. Equipment or use, so please email with any questions and I'll do my best. The serial plate on the lathe bed. Which is 54" long, is marked 101-27440. The plate is marked SEARS ROEBUCK, the bed is marked ATLAS, and the manual that came with lathe is marked CLAUSING. Here is a lot of quick change shafts from this unit. The quick change bundle was apart when I received it. So I put this group together based on the fact they all were found in the same box with gears. The shafts are all 8 3/4 long with the exception of oiler which is shaft length of 5 1/2"not counting nipple) X 5/8" OD. There are two shafts at 1/2" OD and two at 5/8" OD. 13" Lathe Steady Rest, Telescopic, Soft Jaws, Clausing, South Bend, Logan?
Hi. Here is a rather large steady rest, I believe for a Clausing lathe, certainly a 13" lathe, but I'm not exactly sure what other lathes the dimensions would allow it to be used with. It is in excellent working condition, and as you can see from the pictures, it's been used! All of the dial adjustments work fine, the fingers move freely. The soft tips are worn to shape which is to be expected. I do not see any casting numbers anywhere. Dimensions: Bottom Flat going up to Dead Center- 6 1/2" Right to Left. From center of V way to outside edge of flat- 4 7/8" Clamp overall width- 4" Clamp"notch" to fit between ways- 3 1/2" Overall Casting Height- 11 5/16" Please let me know if you need any other dimensions. Clausing lathe compound top casting for 5914
Selling as used but its new. Will need Fitting. I got this compound top years ago and it was still wrapped up in wax paper and grease and a buddy wanted it for his 5914 lathe that the compound had been run into the chuck by school kids. So I gave it to him he cleaned it up than let it set in his shop never putting it on his lathe. We sold his shop off and he gave me the compound top back. Please watch video below. This sale is for a like new Acer 1340G Precision Engine Lathe with Sony digital readout. Taper attachment, steady rest, gap bed, work light, chuck guard interlock, 4-jaw 8in chuck and 3- jaw 6in chuck. This machine cost about $12.500 new as equipped, and for all intents and purposes it still is. The Lathe was purchased by a University and put into a lab. However the program was Shut down shortly after, and it was never used again. Judging by the condition I would estimated it to have less than 20 hours of use. There's absolutely no signs of wear anywhere on this machine in fact the foot brake paint is still perfect, and most of the emblems still have the protective plastic covering.
