The hardware has been replaced with brand new, chrome plated stainless steel bolts. The inside of the press has been deep cleaned and lubricated with Slick Honey grease(only the best) Lever works excellent and glides up and down smoothly. This auction is for a Lot of Vintage Lathe. Milling, Drill Press Arbor Shank/Shaft Parts& Chuck Keys. They are in fair used condition. Have scratches, spotty rust, and grease/dirt throughout. Both are unmarked. 3 Chuck keys are unmarked, while most of small keys and large key are marked Jacobs. Jacobs sizes are K01, K03, K04, K3. 2 shafts have hex key sections to accept bits. One still has broken bit in it. I have not tried to undo them. I do not know what these came off of or what they belong to. Shafts measure 5 1/4" long both have inner threaded tops that are 3/8" 1/4" approx. Both accept 3/8" bits. Please view pictures for content and condition! These are AS IS! Up for auction is a light-duty arbor press made in the USA by Jamesfield Tools. I do not know what this press was intended for but it has a soft(component protective) surface covering the table. It stands 18 ½” tall to the top of the vertical post. I judge that only very small bearings could be safely pressed into housings with this device. If that is what you need it for. It is heavy and shipping cost will reflect this. Shipping quoted is for delivery to the East Coast, the closer to San Diego you live the progressively cheaper it will be. Famco Model 1 Arbor Press - Excellent Condition, Clean Unit! (1 of 2)
Totally restored Famco#1 3/4-ton rated arbor press. This is the third one I've done and I know these presses inside and out. The unit h as been stripped down to smallest individual parts. De-greased, de-rusted with a chelating solution for long-term protection, primed, and painted with high temperature VHT wrinkle paint on all surfaces including the bottom, then oven-cured at 175° for two hours for a durable finish. New fasteners where required. Bronze wear plates have been lapped for smooth rack operation. Steel parts buffed out. New 5/8" diameter handles made of O-1 tool steel stock with solid steel 1-1/4" ball ends pressed and peened onto handle for a comfortable grip. This unit is ready to go to work now and is very sturdy for its size. Perfect for smaller shop pressing jobs like bearing seals. Etc. Also a good size ... morefor hobby crafters doing snaps, buttons, and leather work.
