I'm really not sure what this is. I believe it is called an angle plate or angle block. It is made of two heavy steel plates held together by a heavy duty hinge mechanism. One plate has a diamond pattern cut onto the surface. The other has Threaded holes throughout. Total weight is 5 pounds& 8.5 ounces. It is engraved with the previous owner's name. There is some random rust residue, especially in and around some of the threaded holes. I'm pretty sure these are made of Stainless Steel, so the rust is probably from being stored against something else. Please excuse my lack of knowledge about this.
