Wood planer - Parks commercial grade 12" x 4" capcity
Parks was renown for building some of the best and most durable woodworking machinery in the world from 1927 through 1989. This Model 97 was manufactured from 1939 through 1956 both under the Parks and Craftsman label. I have attempted to determine the date of manufacture through the serial number with no success but estimate in was built in the early 1940's. I purchased it with the intent of installing a 220 volt outlet in my shop but ended up settling for a smaller bench top machine. This machine was designed for durability and high capacity use and would make a great addition to any serious woodworker's shop or commercial cabinet maker. Parks was also know for building their equipment with commonly accessible parts that are still available today. Used Bridgewood Powermatic Grizzly Delta 15" Wood Planer Knives 6266 Set of 3
This is a used set of HSS 15" planer knife blades that fits many brands of planers. Brands like Bridgewood. Powermatic, Delta, Jet, Grizzly, etc. These are the single edge blades and are thicker like the better quality ones they used to make as standard. Since I am not sure all of the brands that these fit I will ask you to check with your suppliers to make sure before bidding. Based on my knowledge this set fits most 15" imported planers that were made from around 1995 to 2010 or so. I think these were removed from a planer in order to put a carbide set on, these are useable but I would recommend resharpening to make them more perfect for a better surfacing. Bench Top 6" Wood Jointer Planer 1/3 HP
don't know the manufacturer here- I suspect Craftsman though. But this planer sits atop a homemade wood table. Has a 1/3 hp multi-step pulley motor connected to the planer with a belt. Fence adjusts to 45 degrees. Has three 4.5" blades. The blade guard broke, but I have it epoxied in place- I suggest having it permanently brazed instead. Saw dust travels down a chute in the back.

The coarse teeth are perfect for removing large amounts of material quickly, while the fine teeth provide a smooth finish. Designed primarily for wood, this tool could also be used on soft metals, plastic, and fiberglass. I picked this tool up in the heated basement of a woodworker and machinist.
