It has some black tape wrapped around the end of the handle beside the small yellow line guide on one end. I can't determine the purpose for that. There are two rusty screws on that end of the pole also. I do not have the bracket that mounts it on the boat. It has a lot of metal line on the reel. All the handles turn easily. This was on a fiberglass boat and it worked great, but can be used on any boat. This lift is in perfect working condition. No stripped threads. Rounded bolts or other damage. It has some silicone residue on it from being mounted on the boat. My husband uses silicone on everything he attaches to a boat. It is an extra step he uses to keep his boats from leaking. Evinrude Boat Paperwork from 1971 (owner's manual, boating log)
For sale are three items of literature that are all Evinrude related. The first is a 32 page"Evinrude Dealer Service Directory. Inside is a list of every Authorized Evinrude Dealer organized by state in 1969. My father-in-law obtained this info in 1971 but on the back cover it states"Form R928 6-69 Printed in U.S.A. This leads me to believe it was printed in June of 1969. It is in good condition with a minor crease on the front cover. A slightly dog-eared corner, but no writing in it and no torn pages. Its dimensions are about 9" x 6" The second item included is a 20 page"Evinrude Boating Log" from the same late 1960's- early 1970.S era. It is in slighly better than good condition. There is a slight smudge on the back cover and a few minor 1/2 inch creases along the fold on the front cover. Inside is info ... moreon boating flags, rules of the road, rules for safe boating, knot tieing, and of course, a boating log. There is no writing on the inside or outside of this item. Its dimensions are about 7 1/2" x 5" The third item included is a 28 page owner's manual for a 25 hp outboard boat motor. It is not in very good condition. It is missing the front cover. It is a little dirty. Some pages have stains on them and some have water damage. Some people consider this character. You be the judge.
