It has only been used for hobbying and has never left the garage. There are some paint splatters on the front face of the base. It uses a 1/2 horse power Craftsman motor. Included is the original instruction manual(there is small writing and underling on some pages) and 6 extra blades of various sizes. There is some light rusting on some of the extra blades. Which should burn off with use. Also, a wooden rip fence is included for butting against for more precise cuts. It'll be tough to find a vintage one in much better shape. Rockwell - Walker Turner 20" Wood/Metal Bandsaw with Blade Welder
This auction is for a Rockwell/Walker Turner 20" vertical band saw. Unit is in pretty much original shape with all Rockwell accessories like the blade welder and table fence. This is the variable two speed model with a foot brake and will run from 50 to 4500 feet per minute. This also has the big table measuring 3" x 24" x 24" with the table support for heavy work pieces. Table also tilts left to right. It is powered by the original Rockwell 1 hp three phase motor with an air pump on the non working end. This could easily be changed to a single phase motor as it is just a standard base motor. It has an air blower and work light installed as was originally. The blade welder has a new Rockwell blade grinder motor and is 120 volt. The tires are in excellent shape and it is ready to use as is or restore it to it's original ... moreglory just by sandblasting and painting and it could use a new variable speed belt and nothing else. There are no dents in the sheet metal. I purchased this from the original owner about 20 years ago but just don't use it any more. I will load on your vehicle but no shipping as it is very heavy. Its a 5 hp single phase 220 power supply. The top cover appears to be home made too. Fair condition and runs. Comes with original blade that has been on for several years and a new in box blade bought in 1996. It is currently on a 7.000 lb dual axle trailer. The trailer was new less than a month ago. Sears craftsman 1980's German made 4 speed wood metal 18" bandsaw
June 22-Price reduced-Selling for a friend-unusual West German made Sears Craftsman 4 speed 18" wood/metal cutting bandsaw. Model number 351.24394. Couldn't find any info on this saw online, but it was made in the late 80's and is pretty heavy duty. We bought this saw a few years ago from a shipyard intending to use to resaw some rough maple lumber from a tree we took down, but my friend is moving and it's way too tall for my basement cellar shop. We put new tires on it and a got a nice Timberwolf blade but it has pretty much sat in the garage. The stats are: welded steel frame, 4" x 8" column, cast aluminum wheels 17 3/4" x 1 1/4, 17 1/2" throat depth, 11 3/4" max resaw height, rack and pinion adjustable European style ball bearing upper guide, simple steel bar lower guide, jig friendly large size ... more24 1/2" x 21 1/2" extruded aluminum table with large trunnion, 45 degree tilt to the outside, 75" high not including the blocks, 132" blade length, 4 speeds(270, 700, 1480, 3800 fpm) manual jackshaft reduction with machined aluminum pulleys and adjustable idler tension, 4" dust port. Motor is German also-220 V, 7.0A, 1.1 KW. It resawed 10" of soft maple no problem and is quiet and vibration free. I estimate the weight at around 350 lbs. which is quite a bit less than other saws its size, due to many high quality aluminum parts. There are a bunch of unused 1" 6 tpi bi metal blades available. Wilton Bandsaw Horizontal 4 x 6 metal cutting wood cutting bandsaw
Here is a nice small Wilton Bandsaw. I believe it is a model 3002 but am not positive on that. It has the serial#120239. It is a horizontal metal cutting band saw. Made in USA. 1/3 hp motor, 1725 rpm, 115, 230 volts. It uses a 1/2" by 0.025" by 64 1/2" saw blade. Have just replaced the blade with a low grade one for demonstration purposes of operation. It is a good running saw. Cuts nicely even with the low grade blade. Have done some topical degreasing but didn't go into any great detail cleaning it. Everything moves freely and operates as it should. Here is a video of it operating the quality of the video isn't the greatest but you can see it operates and cuts fine. Being sold AS IS. Large bandsaw in NY, Lissmac Bandsaw cuts wood and aerated concrete, firebricks
Up for auction is one of my a Lissmac MBS-502/1 bandsaws. It was built for cutting light porous concrete materials like insulating refractory bricks and autoclaved aerated concrete blocks. It also cuts wood as shown in the photo where I cut a log in half. The saw is 6'5" tall and was built in 1999. The motor is 110V 60 hz. 1.5KW 20 A. As shown in the photos the wheels and capacity are large. The saw works and has a blade. Just plug it in and it's ready to cut. It is dirty from use and storage but in good condition. The work table slides on a guide rail with bearings for accurate cuts and it also angles upward for storage and transport. It weighs 350 pounds. This saw is for pickup only in New Rochelle. NY 10801. Powermatic Vertical Bandsaw Model 143 metal & wood cutting
This saw works good but now has only two speeds because the owner removed both 4 speed pulleys(which gave it 8 speeds from 80 to 3.000 F.P.M. There is one 3 speed pulley there but the corresponding pulley is only a single groove. He told me the two speed transmission gives an excellent speed for steel(in low) and the other speed is good for aluminum, other non ferrous materials and wood. It is wired 240V 3 phase.
