Up for bid. We have a very nice, Vintage Clough Brengle Co. Model 79D Audio oscillator. Chassis is in great shape. Cosmetically scratched do to age. Pictures should cover the cosmetic damage. Tube driven, does power up. With a green light in the front and the power tube heats up and glows. Not sure how to operate it but i assume it works well. not a 100% sure. You are bidding on a CLOUGH& BRENGLE. Model 131. This is a Universal Field Coil Speaker. I recently purchased this unit locally from an estate. I do not know much about it. From what I gather. This unit is used as a temporary replacement Field Coil in radios and similar audio devices. It would be very handy for someone working and restoring old radios and Tube amplifiers. Overall cosmetics are very clean. It shows little wear for it's age. I have not tested the unit in any way. It looks to be a fairly simple robust design. Please note; it does have one terminal broken but it should be simple to replace. Check the pics carefully for a better idea of condition. It looks to me as if the back cover has been repainted at some point. Shipping is 16.00 to the continental US only. All others please email for a quote. You may not see another ... moreof these for a long. Long time. Guaranteed as described or your money back!

You are bidding on a rare 1938 Clough-Brengle model 111 frequency modulator(wobbulator" As soon as there were radios they needed fixing. One of the earliest companies to make high quality radio servicing equipment was Clough-Brengle of Chicago. Founded in 1931. The company specialized in signal generators and oscilloscopes for aligning early tube radios. This listing is for a Clough-Brengle model 111 frequency modulator. Serial number 1303. The frequency modulator is often called a"wobbulator, because it sweeps the output of an RF signal generator over a range of frequencies around the center frequency. This greatly simplifies aligning radio receivers when a scope is used. I believe that this idea originated with Clough-Brengle. Except for the missing handle this instrument is in gorgeous condition(see photos) The black wrinkle ... morepaint on the metal case is in excellent condition and the markings show no wear. All the original knobs are there too. The instrument is unmolested inside. And even has its original line cord and four-pin cable for connection to a Clough-Brengle oscillograph. It measures about 11" wide by 9" high by 8" deep. The last photo shows some specifications for this classic piece of test equipment. The 111 is not common. And it is very rare to find such a clean one. Please see my other listings for the companion Clough-Brengle model OCA signal generator. I have been collecting antique radios for more than 30 years. Please watch my future auctions for vintage radio and TV items. Plus other electronics. TERMS& CONDITIONS I don't have a lot of silly rules for buyers: Pay for your item and I'll send it you.
