Vintage Chicago Tube And Set Tester Model 532
I'm not real for sure of the capabilities or the features of this model. I have plugged it in and tested some AA and AAA batteries and that feature does work correctly. The paper scroll does scroll smoothly. Made by Chicago model 532. The case measures shut 15 1/2" by 12 1/2" by 8 1/2" The lid opens and has a mirror attached to it. Overall the operating board and case are in good shape. I have no way of testing the complete capabilities of this unit because I don't have the tubes or the knowledge. Money back if not satisfied. Simpson 1000 Plate Conductance Tube Tester Calibrated and fully operational
Simpson 1000 Tube Tester. The tube tester is a Plate Conductance type of tube tester. Much better than your simple emissions testers. This tester is nearly identical to the Eico 666 tube tester. Other than the lever knobs are reversed. The question arises. Did Simpson design the tester and Eico copied it? Or did Eico design it and Simpson copy it? My guess is that Simpson designed the circuitry and Eico being a"Kit Operation" slightly modified it so they could sell kits of this excellent tube tester. As to how the tester setup is made. The first 9 lever knobs correspond to Tube Pin Numbers 1 through 9 they are labeled A-I the knob J the 10th one is the Grid Cap lever. K then sets the plate and screen grid voltages and L sets the shunt resistor value across the meter. You also will set the Bias and Range knobs as per needed for each ... moretube setup. Hickok calls these Bias and English knobs. The positions of the first 9 lever knobs is. 0 = ground. 1 = Filament, 2 = Screen Grid, 3 = plate, 4 = control grid bias, 5 = open no connection. Once you learn to operate this tube tester its reasonably easy to devise tests for tubes that aren't listed in any of the books or obsolete tube lists. I have been through this tester and done capacitor replacement. Resistor checking and calibration. I have had this tester for several years. I just have too many tube testers so this one needs to find a nice loving home. The case on the tube tester has some rough spots on the covering. Mostly on the corners. See all Photo's for case condition. The original Manual is included with the tube tester. Also included is a photocopied listing of Obsolete Tube settings. I also have the obsolete listings in PDF form and can be supplied after the auction is completed. Lastly along with the tube tester is also a"Home Brew" I think adapter box to test Compactron Tubes 9 and 12 pin. This Sylvania 220 tube tester is in operating condition. The inside works is in excellent condition including the roller data chart. This one of the classic tube testers of the tube era which seems to be coming back. The metal case has some rust on the latches and a couple paint drips on the cover.

Century CT-1 Capacitor tester and Seco FB-4 Flyback tester. Both are in as-found condition. I tested the CT-1 and find it to be working perfectly. With a very bright 6AF6 eye tube. The photos below show the CT-1 testing both an old/leaky 0.05uf wax capacitor. And a new 0.05uf high quality capacitor. Note the dial on the leaky 0.05uf clearly shows it is bad compared to the good 0.047uf capacitor(eye tube is max open in both cases) The working condition of the FB-4 flyback tester is unknown. Here is a vintage B& K CRT 465 tube tester. It is in very good condition. Works and is complete with manuals, box and interchangeable tube receivers. As you can see. The power light comes on and the needle moves. The unit was working the day I got it. Which was only a couple days before this listing. The case is in good shape with the normal wear and tear you would expect from a protective case. The manuals include 4 set up charts. 3 from 1966 and one from 1969. There is a parts list, upgrade letter from B& K and the original instruction manual. All of these are in good condition and housed under the cover of the tester. Hickok 6000 Tube Tester is Calibrated & All Within Specs 55 Tubes & 6L6 Included
Hickok 6000 Tube Tester Calibrated& All Within Specs 50 Tubes& 6L6 Included Hickok 6000 Dynamic Mutual Conductance Tube Tester Information including the manual. Calibration procedures, and updated tube data are readily available at no charge at Bama and elsewhere. All the specs were checked and the tester calibrated and the line voltage with a 6L6 in the socket is at 6.2 volts that will help ensure accurate Gm test results. The two tubes in the tester are both RCA, 83 and 5Y3, were new in 10/2013 and both tested and balanced. This tester did not come with this case and is held down with only four screws although in the original case all ten were used. The plate on the case goes to this tester and the cases and plates were swapped with another tester. We did not plan on selling this tester and the appearance of the case was unimportant ... moreas long as the tester functioned properly. All the specs were checked and the tester calibrated in 10/2013 and has been used little since. Notes during the calibration were recorded on a blank page in the manual. We use an outside source for the calibration tube and the tester is reading 5400 for Gm and the tube calls for 5475. This could be easily corrected. And according to the calibration procedures, the shunt dial would be tagged about one number or so lower to show 5475, but that has not been done and will be left up to the new owner. The calibration tube's Gm reading is from a 533A and from a very reputable and trusted source. The Hickok 6000 series is fairly simple to calibrate and instructions on calibration. The manual, and updated foreign and domestic tube data is readily available at no charge. The calibration can be done using a DMM as long as shunts are used and this tester was calibrated using both an analog and DMM. This tester has a pot to set the line voltage and with a 6L6 in the socket the line is at 6.2 volts which is where it needs to be. Here's a very nice Eico 666 tube tester. This is one of the nicest looking ones I've ever seen. Even the case is very nice. Inside. It's had the old caps and diodes replaced and it's been calibrated according to eico specs. Manual is included which also has some chart updates and even the building instructions. The Pictures show it testing a marginal 6L6 and then a new 6L6. The third tube being tested is a new RCA 12AX7. NOTE: the 12AX7 data settings on the chart are wrong. The correct ones are written on the front of the manual.

You are bidding on a great vintage Audio/Ham Radio Refurbished tube tester. That works great and looks great; inside and out! This tester is NOT a low end emission type tester, but is of the"Dynamic Mutual Conductance" type; like the higher end Jackson testers. I have gone through this unit and checked for any bad components, applied contact cleaner to ALL of the switch contacts and went thru the calibration process as per the user manual. It will test most all recent tube types as well as the older 4 pin types. 1949 Military I-177 tube tester. This is a mutual conductance type tester which is highly sought after. I've been told there are some mods that can be done to allow it to test the more modern tubes. Picked this up at a swap meet with thoughts of restoring/repairing it. But just don't have the time. The power cord is frayed at the point where it enters the unit. This one seemed to fare well as far as oxidation goes. though there was a bit of sandy dust I've cleaned from the interior. Changed the 100uf& 1 caps after noticing meter would not deflect under slow power up. Can not get meter to work even after changing rectifiers. Suspect meter is shot, but could be something else? NAVSHIPS manual is readily available online free to troubleshoot further. Included is what I believe to be all the extraneous odd tube socket and VOM connectors. This B K Model 500 tube tester works. I tested 6 tubes with it and got meaningful results. It has a lot of information inside the lid allowing one to test a variety of tubes, but it does not come with the little supplemental handbook. I have seen them sold on eBay for 9.99. It's old and the tolex is a little rough, the handle mounts are rusty and one of the rubber feet is missing, but it has four of the little octal adapters and a fifth one which is a duplicate of the 6BN6-98. Everything I tested worked(well one of my tubes was shot, but that's a different story) but it's used so it's sold as-is with the understanding that it's been around the block a few times. If I had enough different types of tubes I'd test all the sockets. I'll repeat, every tube I plugged into this lit up and tested. Superior 600 Tube Tester tested in working condition. Pictured testing a 5U4, the meter is not washed out as it looks in the pictures, the glass is picking up white glare from the ceiling, the meter actually looks good, this also has functions for Ohms, Amps and Volts, these functions are untested. No manuals or test leads are included but this is a simple tester to use. I have a photocopy of a Superior 450 manual that I believe is good for this tester I will include, the copy is not very good but most of it is readable, the 450 and the 600 look to be the same tester other than the 600 has the optional functions. Description: Up for grabs here is a Precision Apparatus Company Model 912 vacuum tube tester. Cosmetically. It shows lots of wear and there is some surface rust. The wooden enclosure has some dings and scratches on it. Electrically and functionally, it seems fine. The internal wiring is aged but still complete and intact and the two pronged power cable is whole and solid. There is a 9 pin adapter for tubes like the enduring 12AX7. The adapter cable jacketing is cracked but the internal wires are still good. Included with this test is a large amount of original documentation from the late 40s to the late 60s. The unit seemed to belong to Carl Howard of Schenectady. NY. His address is printed on several of the documents. The documentation includes operating instructions, schematics, tube charts with updates, and even special offers for purchasing ... morestereo kits. Vintage 1944 HICKOK 510X Tube Tester/VOM
Vintage 1944 Hickok 510X Tube Tester with VOM In fair to good condition. Original tube chart paper reel is included separate(Sorry, forgot to include in photo) I added a used 2 prong cord and kept the original plug. Brought this up slowly to 60 volts on my variac.it powered up but something smoked inside a little so I turned it off Calibration and/or further electric restoration or troubleshooting recommended. Includes a Zenith 5Y3 as well as(2) RCA Radiotron 6H6's. The mercury vapor rectifier tube(83) is not included. Just checked and a 5Z3 I believe was in it's place, not marked on tube) which I have removed(though pictured) it is not included and may have been the cause of the tester smoking? Didn't see any mercury moving around when I tested the tube as a 83. Sold as/is. Please see my other vintage listings!
