SCBA escape system 60 minutes of air in backpack bottle
as new system was never used. Maintained in a powerplant to allow the control room operators 60 minutes of air to escape in case of the emergency that never came. these units have a 15 life span on the aluminum carbon fiber wrapped bottle. They were made in 2006. This unit does not come with the mask or hood. You can get the items here on Ebay or fit them locally at a fire department store. These are similar to the fire department models. The difference being it does not include the rope to repel, which can be added, if you have a desire to drop out of a window. A mask is available here on Ebay from 65 to 200 price range, depending on what you want to cover, new/used and they are sized. I did not get the masks as they are assigned to the individual. You are bidding on a used Drager(Draeger) model BG-174A Self Contained Oxygen Breathing Apparatus(SCBA) originally intended for mine search and rescue operations. Please review each picture carefully and read the entire description for this item. This rebreather was taken out of service in the 1990s. And has been sitting in storage for at least 10 years. It does NOT include an oxygen tank(uses small 2 liter tanks) and has not been recently inspected, serviced, or tested. Some parts may be missing, or require service, inspection, repair, or all of the above. Buyer agrees to not use this item until it has been professionally serviced, inspected, and approved for use by qualified and licensed personnel. Mask ... morecolor/condition/type- Yellow Draeger Nova Panorama mask. Yellow. In good condition though it does have some scratches and scuffs on the front lens. Box condition(Aluminum) Box is in good condition. It is somewhat dusty due to age/storage. Box has writing and tape on the exterior. Box weather seals are in good condition and box closes firmly. Interior of box with foam padding is also in good condition. There are some minor dings and dents on the exterior of the box. Tool Kit- Tool kit includes 8 tools and a small case of O-rings. I do not know if this tool kit is complete. So please review the picture of the tool kit to know exactly what is included. Breathing hose condition- Breathing hose appears to be in good condition with no holes or cracks. However the rubber does show some signs of age, it is not brittle or sticky but it will need to be professionally tested before using. All caps are present on the breathing hose. It has quite a few signs of use as you'd expect from something used at a fire department. But I didn't see any damage that should really affect use. I believe they were just upgrading equipment. Up for sale are two MSA SCBA masks. We just switched to Scott SCBAs so I wont be needing these anymore. Both are used. One is a medium. Barely used. The other is a small, with more signs of wear. It has a heads up display but no neck strap. It also has a name written and carved into it in several spots but in no way affects its workability.
