Welcome. Up for auction today is this custom made Fireman's Safety Belt with Pelican hook. It is about 40 years old and has been used in a variety of ways. I have used it to secure myself at the top of a ladder by just snapping the pelican hook on the rung, I have used it to climb trees by using a climbing strap(not included) clipped to the rings, I have used it rappelling by feeding a line thru a figure 8 carabiner and clipping to the pelican hook. The belt is constructed very well, look closely at the pix, there is some surface rust on the rings etc but a wire brushing would take care of that. The harness has 2 Dee Rings, and is in great shape. It actually looks like it may have never been used. The eye holes on the harness and strap look like they never have had any pressure from the belt loop. But, because the person whose basement it was in is no longer with us, I dont know for sure, so I have listed it as a used harness. It appears to be in the 36"42" waist range.
