Condition: Not in working condition and I dont know if all parts are present. BUT I SEE SOME ACTION/ MOVEMENT WHILE CLOSING. Silver plated Naughty Automaton Matchsafe, late 19th century. Rectangular, the two larger sides with geometric engine-turned ground, the ends with lid for match storage and a striking surface, the top with hidden spring loaded lid opening to reveal naughty scene with goldwashed accenting of a man and woman in flagrante delicto. 2 1/4 x 1 1/4 in approx. the top is not closing. Pops up when u close it and even the side door IS OUT. WEAR AND PATTINA IS SEEN DUE TO USAGE. NOTE: I DONT KNOW ABOUT THIS ITEM MUCH BUT ALL I CAN SAY ITS GENUINE AND EXTREMELY RARE. Antique Industrial Large Ornate Steel Concrete Filled Safe w/ Turn Key Lock
Antique Safe This antique safe dates from around the mid to late 1800's. It is constructed from steel and filled with concrete. The safe is VERY solid and sturdy. We are guessing the weight is around 1000 to 1200 pounds. On either side of the safe are 11 5/8" wide handles. The ornate design around the face of the safe and door are applied cast iron. The hinges have acorn finials. The inside of the door features pin striping and a hand painted floral design. The heavy safe rolls on cast iron castors that are secured to the safe with a scalloped shaped housing. The knob is solid cast brass and has the number"668" on it. There is a solid brass plate that swings away to reveal the key hole. The brass lock mechanism appears to have been plated in nickel at one time. Vintage Masonic Match Safe Vesta. Dense repousse' decoration on both sides. Patent date. Jan. 12, 1904, is stamped into the plain top edge. There is no evident maker's mark. Chrome plated steel. Hinge works and the cap fits tightly. The decorated surfaces are blemish free, the striker shows use, both long side have the typical dits associated with old chrome objects.
