Thermo SmartION 2140R Smart Survey Meter Geiger Counter Radiation Detector
Used and functional Mini Smart ION survey meter. Meter powers on and measures natural background radiation. Serial number M0005768. Has data logging capability to measure dose. Also can work with software for remote calibration and data collection. The barcode reader is built in to the front of the handle. There is a small clear window visible in the second picture where the integrated barcode reader is located under the metal retaining loop near the three visible buttons. There is a slide on the bottom as seen in the fourth picture to choose the type of detection. Although not indicated on the instrument. It was designated by the company as the Model 2302. This is an inexpensive instrument aimed at the amateur prospector. Someone who wanted to become rich but didn't want to spent a lot of money to do so. There is no meter to display the data. The radiation levels were indicated via the headphones and a small neon light on the top of the case(not shown) The only control is an on/off switch. The cover for the case snaps on- there are no screws to deal with. The GM tube is located inside the case at the bottom. As can be seen in the photo. Eberline PIC-6B Portable Ion Chamber super wide range BETA. GAMMA, X-RAY radiation detector. You may have an ultra sensitive scintillation detector good for testing household items. Food, water, and property but in case of an event they will be saturated and useless. You should have both one for high sensitivity for food and water and one that will not saturate and provide you with accurate reading for life threatening situations so you know when- to evacuate and which direction to go to safety. Anything above 5-10 Roentgins would be cause to seek shelter as soon as possible and higher readings would be way more urgent. A normal Geiger counter or scintillation instrument would probably be saturated and useless under the conditions that would be present after a nuclear event. This is my choice for an affordable late model super wide range ... moreinstrument I would not trust one of those old civil defense instruments to function properly when it- comes to life or death situations. This is a simple to operate instrument with two ranges 0-1.000 mR/hr and 0-1,000 R/hr with an easy to read logarithmic dial and no zero adjust to fiddle with it is- Auto zeroing just turn it to battery to check status select range and allow 15-20 seconds to auto zero and it is ready to start detection. This instrument along with mine was checked on an X-RAY calibration stand at a local university and found to be better than factory +- 10% recommendations. On low range mR/hr is sensitive enough to indicate normal background radiation and tested with a natural uranium sample as shown in photos 6/7 you can see the sample is showing 7 mR/hr combined BETA GAMMA at the window that has a closable BETA shield. You can also see in photo 6 with just the proximity of the ore sample it is already showing 1 mR/hr. The detector is an LND pressurized ion tube fitted into a thick walled lead tube that gives it the energy compensation required for accurate wide energy radiation readings. This is a CDV-715 Geiger counter from the 1960's. The inside and outside of the unit are in fantastic shape except for a missing knob. The instruction and maintenance manual and the original box are also included but are in fair to poor shape. I did not test the unit but assume it works. It was sitting in storage for 40 years in the box with no battery inside. The instruction and maintenance manual indicate it is from Lionel Electronic Laboratories 1961-62. On the front of the manual it shows a picture of a shoulder strap which is not included with the unit. There was a small yellow rope in the box. I am not sure if it goes with the unit but I will send it anyway. I have an eBay rating of 2000+ thus you can be confident that the item is described accurately and the shipping will be FAST!

One used WMD Geiger Counter Civilian Issue bit crusher distortion pedal. Doesn't come with original packaging or the manual. Bottom of pedal has some wear. Pedal is in 100% working order. Tags: overdrive. Fuzz, MXR, DOD, Boss, fuzz face, metal, stomp box, From WMD site: Stomp Switch- Like all WMD pedals, the GCCI(Geiger Counter Civilian Issue) is handwired and true bypass, so it won't affect your tone when disabled. When the GCCI is on, the red LED will be lit. Gain- The gain control provides anywhere from a nice clean tone to a ton of overdrive. Use this to hit the Function tables harder or softer to produce different amounts of harmonics. Tone- The tone control can be used to fine tune the harmonic content from the Function tables. Use lower settings for fewer upper level harmonics. Function- Twisting this knob will cause the number ... moreon the display to change. It goes 0 to 9 and A to F. This selects the 16 presets inside the GCCI. Push the knob in to activate the Low Fidelity mode for each preset. Low Fidelity mode is indicated by the decimal point on the display. Each Function recalls parameters from the original Geiger Counter including the Bit Depth, Sample Rate and the Wave Table. The wave tables are displayed in the manual file. As your guitar string swings up and down, the wave table is played left to right from the center. The output is what's vertically on the graph. The more movement in the Function, the more harmonic content you'll get out. Volume- Sets the output volume of the GCCI which can be up to 5Vpp, enough to really crush your amp's input stage. Battery& 9VDC Jack- WMD recommends using a 9V BOSS style power adapter(2.1mm Center Negative) A battery snap is provided, but is recommended for power supply backup only as the GCCI uses a lot of power(about 40mA) A battery could last as little as 5 hours.

Eberline ASP-1 with BaF2 scintillator probe Geiger counter radiation detector
Eberline ASP-1 analog smart portable with BaF2 BARIUM FLOURIDE SCINTILLATOR. I have owned and used radiation detection instruments for years this is by far my first choice for field and lab work due to the capabilities only one instrument can do it all. This one is one of several that I modified over the years by extending the most used features to the deck so it doesn't have to be constantly opened to get to adjustments. The scintillator was specially made by me for testing food and water for contamination due to its ultra sensitivity to Bremsstrahlung low energy X-rays emitted by alpha beta decay it is possible to detect contamination in fish and beef that would be missed by other direct methods of detection of alpha beta particles. First the Eberline ASP1 instrument there are two versions the first production up to serial#1.000 used ... morea separate cpu eprom configuration that was replaced in units starting with serial#1000 and above with a single masked rom cpu and no eprom which was way better and also extended battery life. You can identify them by the serial# and the improved instrument has a black anodized spun aluminum knob insert unless someone has changed knobs. RARE PORTABLE METER SURVEY RADIAC No 2 Dosimeter Geiger Radiation Counter
Portable Meter Survey Radiac No.2(6665-110008) Serial no. 1721. Made in England by E. K. Cole Ltd. Ex REME surplus stock that seems to have spent it's life in stores as it is in excellent condition as far as I can tell! The paint is in excellent condition with only a few very minor scuffs and a couple of light scratches- one to the side and two underneath. The pvc casing is in excellent condition and has its' strap and the little screwdriver in the case lid. The unit comes in the original cardboard storage box with MOD label and a date of 1986 on what appears to be the release label. Also included are the instruction booklet, instruction sheet and REME maintenance document. I have not and cannot test this unit- I have no radioactive sources even if I followed the booklet! THIS NEEDS THE LEAD WIRE REPAIRED. OTHERWISE IN GOOD SHAPE. I NEVER TESTED IT. FOUND THIS INFO ON THE WEB. The Model RM2 GM survey meter was produced by the Nucleonic Company of America of Brooklyn New York. A plate on the end of the case indicates that it was manufactured December 1953. The plate also refers to"RADIAC SET" which suggests. Along with the indicated Contract Number, that it was produced for the military. Despite this. I have not been able to find any indication in the literature that the RM2 was actually used by the military. In fact, I have not been able to find any references to the RM2 period. The closest is the following description(1954) of the RM2N, also known as the"Ore-Lokator: The NCA Ore-Lokator's many unique features include A patent pending means of checking accuracy of meter reading which makes ... morethis the only really reliable and accurate survey instrument. Vintage Nuclear-Chicago Model 2612 geiger counter. Serial#1646. Light surface wear and some spots of grey paint splatter on the casing. I know nothing about the operation of this item-it has 4 Everyready batteries inside which would need replacement for operation-2 different kinds-large ones that I am unfamiliar with-no corrosion to batteries or connections. The front panel has a label stating that it had a calibration test in 1970. Cosmetically, it appears to be in fairly good condition. Since it is untested. I am selling it"AS IS"no returns. Nothing obstructing the screen. Other than that, the device is perfect. You can charge it by USB mini(adapter included) and then leave it on a table top. Come back in five minutes and you will have an accurate reading of the CPM. I bought this because of Fukushima, but it seems that radiation levels haven't increased here in Colorado, so I am selling it. I may buy a cheaper one to replace it, but I don't need something this sophisticated for occasionally testing food. The USB cable and USB charger are included along with the unit. The following information came from a publication dated 1999: E-Tronics PR-32 Scintillation Counter(mid to late 1950s) The PR-32 Scintillation Counter was produced in the mid to late 1950s by El-Tronics Inc. Of Philadelphia. It closely resembles the Model 118 scintillators produced by Precision Radiation Instruments(PRI) of Los Angeles. While PRI referred to the Model 118 as the"Royal" scintillator, El-Tronics called the PR-32 the"Master Scintillation Counter. Both used large NaI crystals, had scaling and ratemeter capability, and came in leather cases. Quoting a 1955 advertisement: The finest. Most sensitive instrument available! vintage 1954 PROFESSIONAL model 107B GEIGER COUNTER - ORIG PRICE TAG STILL ON
I purchased this at an estate sale and was told by the son who was running the sale that it was his dad's favorite toy and that it was originally purchased by him back in 1954. The geiger counter was made by Precision Radiation Instruments Inc. of Los Angeles California and is marked' Professional Model 107B. The darn thing has the original price tag of $ 139.50 still attached to the face as seen in picture 4. Even the original pamphlet shows the same price in photo 5. Included is a bunch of old paperwork from the Division of Mines again back in 1954. Does it work? Well. I took pictures of the insides and it looks to be pretty clean and even the old batteries still look good with the exception of the top of one of them in photo 8 but I could not get it to fire up. The son said that he could not remember the last time it was used but ... moreit had to have been" Many Years Ago" and that his dad always cared for his toys. The probe looks to be in good shape along with the earphone and carrying strap.
